ok well my car is just a daily driver not a track car i just want it to be the best daily driver it can be with out to much work gotta spend time with the other toys, do you think i should do this instead of doing cheap headers?
 
No matter what you do, the U-bend has to go, and the manifold is a terrible design for even mild performance. Speed Daddys will take care of both.
 
i really dont want to put the time/money into full headers, do you think this and a u bend delete will be enough?
 
between the PLOG and the ubend delete and porting the rear manifold to match you should just suck it up and spend 200 bucks on the SD headers and be done. I antagonized over this exact issue and went headers on my Park Ave Ultra. no regrets.
 


its such a tough decision im not looking for major gains im just looking for an upgrade over stock
 
Why spend 150 on a single bank pipe, while still using a stock rear manifold, downpipe, and U-bend. Take the extra $50 and the extra ~2 hours and do headers. They look better, flow better, and aren't too complicated to install. Hardest part would be a little welding, but you can even just use clamps.
 
headers wont drastically change your performance lol. they help the flow. the better the flow the better the mpg's as well ;)

be enough for what exacaly? i have a 2 1/2" catless DP with a glasspack and stock mufflers, a plog is on the way i just didnt wanna go through the hassle and time of installing headers i might upgrade once i graduate school and start working more
 
Dont mod your daily driver.
The PLOG is such a waste, $150 for that plus shipping, then you still have to remove the crappy stock downpipe and ubend thats another $120 if you go with the cheap zzp dp. Your now at $270 before shipping and you still have the stock rear manifold. Just buy headers and save your self the trouble.

I have a plog and DP. Only because..they fell into my garage for the right prices. Things you can expect with these parts: Plog will crack due to inferior welding and the manifold to Dp gasket will leak.
 
I have a DP and PLOT just because I bought them right before the cheap Speed Daddy headers came out, so I'm stuck with them lol.
 
Ok ill go with the headers (and thanks bill I found that excellent write up) but I definitely plan to lighty mod my DD why not right?
