Burgundy Bullet - Retrofit Pics and the End of the Bullet

Re: Burgundy Bullet - Requested Door Projector Pics

I actually kind of like the black trimming on the doors, never really seen that on grand prix's before. Shes clean, keep her that way.

Re: Burgundy Bullet - PROJECT: Turn Signal Mirrors (1 Pic)

Well you guys can all start holding your breath soon. Found out a buddy of mine has a dremel tool so I will be starting the turn signal mirror project soon!

The goal of this project is not only a custom mirror but also a mirror that is safer than the stock one. In the end it will have a front facing turn signal strip, rear facing turn signal in the mirror itself, and feature puddle lights that will be on anytime the interior lights are on but will turn off when the door is opened to prevent any washout of the Pontiac Logo projector.

In the picture:
1) 2 mirrors
2) 2 Red LED turn signal arrows
3) 2 yellow LED turn signal strips (will most likely tint to blend in with the black mirrors.)

Have relays on the way for switching the puddle lights off and turning on the door projectors
Also will be getting LED puddle lights

NOTE: Will need a different pass side mirror as the one I got was busted up a little. Thought it would be good to practice with it though. If anyone has one that is any color and the paint on the housing itself doesn't need to be perfect as they will be repainted anyway and are willing to sell cheap, let me know.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES LATER ON! :)

Well I have a few... Just nothing that can come out if I need to replace something. :th_laugh-lol2:

Re: Burgundy Bullet - PROJECT: Turn Signal Mirrors (1 Pic)

he wants it BillBoost'sRegal Style. So it looks like it should be there from the factory.

Re: Burgundy Bullet - PROJECT: Turn Signal Mirrors (1 Pic)

You are correct there. They are all stick on ones. However I felt that it would look too cheesy to just stick em on and call it good. The front facing ones will end up being almost flush with the housing itself. The ones in the mirror will be behind the mirror visible through circles cut into the mirror. The puddle lights will just be small leds stuck to the bottom pretty much. Trying to keep it looking somewhat stock like BillBoost would do but yet have that element of customization.

EDIT: TLSheff is a smart cookie and a much faster typer than me. lol

In for the win, can't wait to see the end result, better do a How To write up. I'm a little slow, need tons of pics.

I will attempt a how to write up and document it good. I was going to do one for installing halo rings in the headlights and foglights as well as the LED strips in the headlights but for some reason I cant find any of the pictures from the install and process. Worst part is I sold the headlights and foglights a couple weeks ago to a guy so now I have nothing to really show how to do it. Oh well. Might throw something together so someone else can attempt to duplicate that one and supply pics and a better how to.

Re: Burgundy Bullet - PROJECT: Turn Signal Mirrors (1 Pic)

Well the LEDs showed up along with the relays so I officially have everything needed now! Besides a good passenger side mirror that is.

Re: Burgundy Bullet - PROJECT: Turn Signal Mirrors

I need this sticker. It is really fitting until I get around to rolling my fenders. lol
