Nothing as of yet. It is wedged in there right now. The light has a little ridge on it that catches on the inside of the mirror so I will glue that in later after I sand and paint the mirror. I will also have to cover up the back of the light on the inside to cut the light down behind the mirror. Not sure if you are going to understand any of that or not. lol

Also just so everyone knows this is just the practice mirror. I will be doing this to the mirrors that were actually on my car instead so If I mess this up it wont be the end of the world. So far to get that hole cut right it took at least a half hour. Im surprised that it turned out like it did. I was skeptical when I started cutting. lol. With this being my first time ever using a Dremel I was very nervous about how this would turn out. I was able to handle it very well and was able to even hold it like a pencil to grind away some stuff. Very impressed with the tool!

Anyone ever used the rustoleum tint before? Thats what I got because the VHT tends to look slightly purplish. Plus I heard its not good to tint with one brand and then use a different brands clear coat. Ive already got rustoleum clear coat so I figured Id give it a try.

You might actually want to try actual tint instead of VHT. When I applied VHT to my side markers with the amber bulb it ended up turning the light red. Dk if rustoleum is based off the same thing but just a heads up. Or have a body shop spray and slight black/clear mix over them.

I heard someone on another forum say that the Rustoleum has a black look instead of the purple.

Yea that is definitly a good idea. I may even consider placing a strip of tape across the top of the bulbs and tinting the rest really dark and then doing a light coat over where the leds are to make it less noticeble but not have the redish color as much.

umm black either has a red under tint or a blue under tint never both. I have no idea what that guy was smoking but can I get some?

Use it on something that's amber. I'm not referring to using it on something like the tails,brake light etcs those won't be effected.

So I used a thin clear piece of plastic and put some of the tint stuff on that and put the amber turn signal behind it. Still looked pretty amber to me. It was a slightly darker amber but didnt really seem to have any sort of shade of red to it. Maybe very very slightly blue but that just made it look more orange than it did. Do you think that is an okay way to check it or do I need to actually tint the strip itself to see?

So I got one of the actual front facing signals test fit and so far so good! Only problem I ran into is both screws holding the bottom in broke so they are stuck in the plastic. Any suggestions on how to get those out is greatly appriciated.
ALSO I did a little test of the puddle lights and found out that they WILL NOT wash out the Pontiac Logo projector so now I don't know if I should still do the relay to shut off the puddle light and turn on the logo projector or just keep them simple and have them both on? I kind of like the idea of the switching but am not sure if its worth the extra hassle. What do you all think?

Just wanted to let you all know that the rustoleum tint is quite good. It's more black than VHT, and it has stayed glossy and durable on my tails without any clear! WARNING THO! It goes on thick and dark and has a much narrower spray than VHT spray! I got streaks on my tails
and had to buff hard after 2 coats in order to make light come through. Good stuff tho!
