SHE'S ALIVE!! I was worried when I turned the key for the first time and it didn't start but it started right up second time. Now to shower and throw a tune at it to get rid of codes. I guess I should get ahold of dyno brian now to get a real tune.

sounds like a rocker to me, maybe one of the lifters has not pumped up yet?
sucks either way man. i hope its a simple fix there.

Hmm, I wouldnt say bottom end yet, but it sure does clatter.
Taken the belts off yet just to see if for some reason it would go away?

That sounds like valvetrain noise to me. When I spun a bearing it was clacking like a old beat up diesel, you just knew it was bad. I would bet if you pulled off the valve covers you could find the issue. I've seen several GPs with busted springs making racket like that.
