• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Brando's All New Cruze

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Your small bit of KR issues could be coming from your o2 sensor smashed against your firewall. That should probably be moved eventually.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Me, I don't believe the sensor reading is false. Might not be from predetonation. May be something loose and rattling, or something hitting, could even be a broken sensor. Thing is.. the sensor is reporting and that's not false. There is some reason the sensor hears noise and is reporting. If you think there's an mechanical issue, fix it.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Well I'm not sure to what extent the tranny being chitty could have on the knock. The o2 is JAMMED into the firewall, but recently been told that won't cause it to read knock. So idk what gives lol. And then today I seen as high as 2.0*

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

id pound the firewall some to clear the o2. its not supposed to be hitting.

and if its on the firewall id have to think it could be the cause of the KR.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Should've bought a Saab

Bill liked hammering out my firewall :D

I noticed every set of SD headers fit completely different than another set, not one set is a like LOL.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

I know... on the blue car I had great clearance. We seem to think that even though it's touching, when the motor moves it's moving downward and thus shouldn't be banging. Idk...
At any cost, there are mechanical things (like the trans) that is making noise and should be addressed first before things I don't know are bad.

Josh and I took it out, first time since I've had it. We did see up to 3.6* this time, pretty sure we were in 3rd so it was gettin up on there. A 1-2 shift is out of the question, it WILL break the trans lol. It's so weak.

There is some pulley and/or the blower bearings or coupler that isn't sounding the healthiest, gonna investigate this weekend. There's also grease seeping from around the pulley.
Like it or not it's just gonna take time to get it where I want it :-/

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

I don't think it's SDs fault they fit different on each car, on my black car they fit awesome didn't come anywhere near the firewall. The same headers on my silver car and I have like maybe and inch between the 02 and the firewall. I think it's because of variations in GMs tolerances, hence why some people have issued with the fans hitting.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Not many people can get away with making fun of balding people. Those of us that took the razor to what was left and said ... I will not comb over, I will not paint on hair and I will never glue a rug to my head. We are allowed to joke all we want.

Best part is if it's raining.. I can come in and look at someone, then say "Did the rain messed up my hair?" Everytime they will look to check for me. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

HA! Glad someone feels my pain. Too pale, too skinny, dirty car, slow car, ***** ***** *****... all you gpf folks do :p

But yeah idk how I'd look as a bald person. But I've grown back some of my hair so I'm hoping I have some years left :)

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Careful what you do, if the rust is showing above the side skirts, that probably means that your rocker panels below the skirts are rusted out, reasons how i know this is i have an 02 SE that doesnt have the more sporty look to it and shows the rockers, and i can stick my hand inside of them... But im getting mine replaced soon!
