• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

As was requested. The BMW Isetta 600. Start to finish.

this thread still has a chance to be born. I now have my fiancee saying she wants to see it restored so she said she'll stop at nothing until we have it! She gave me a choice between a new old car or the bmw as a project car and I chose the bmw lmao

yeah look into finsiehed value and cost of parts before you start in on it.. its like dumping money into a GP.. not always worth it

already done there's a couple places that people sell parts. Also I think I found one place that sells oem replacement parts for some of the larger panels. I crunched the numbers and if I straighten/fabricate the panels it should cost me no more than 10-15k

First time seeing this thread.

If you estimate it's 10-15 to work/fab parts.. you are forgetting the first tule of stuff like this. Double your initial estimate and hope the car doesn't come out at triple.

WTF I thought I'd never see this here. My dad had 5 of these when I was a kid. Used 2 of them to chase each other in parades and stuff like that.

One ended up painted as garfield the cat, head to toe front to back.

Might even have the odd part kicking around. But I wouldn't bother with engine swap as these didn't like high speed much, gets a little scary. As for tunes get an ipod or bluetooth speaker as its not worth hacking it up.

Btw it should have reverse and it's not a 2 stroke. You'll have fun learning left hand standard too.

The gas/brake pedals will be seized and the drive shaft/ universal joint type things will be dry rotted. Looks similar to what a Lincoln LS uses, it's a rubber ring with 6 holes that acts as a universal joint.

You'd be surprised the parts you'll be able to find.

yeah. i read through this thread a while back. Didnt feel like being the guy to bring an old thread from the dead. But now that somebody else has ahahahah

Whats the progress on it? still sitting burried in the dirt?
