When you hear of all the problems that CAN go wrong with a car is is pretty discouraging.
Hey I love my 94 GTP, it has 194,000 miles and aside a little rear suspension noise and the PS pump noises I cannot complain.
Ever notice that any problem someone has with a car, it is "known for that"?
I also hear of how much of a pain it is to replace the timing belt. What, people expect THAT to be easy? I have never done a "fun" timing belt on any car.
the only real problem I have is that I drive about 150 miles a week and the gas gauge seems to keep going down. :th_laugh-lol2:
You could be a Taurus owner and have the dooming prospect of the transmission wadding up the gear train and pooping it into the pan.
You could be a Ford Contour/mystique owner and face the possibility of the car having every problem under the sun.
After a couple months ownership, I really cannot complain about my GTP.
I get kind of pissed when people are like, "Oh, the 3.4, good luck, mechanics hate those.." It is like "Well F-U buddy"
When you insult someone's car, you are not insulting their car per se, but their choice as a customer.
