a manager from autozone wants to race for cash

I've beat so far in my car, a 95 Intergra with 350hp from a 20,30,40,60,and a 60 with him having the hit he's gonna re race on the race tune at 450 will get video then. 2nd was a Audi Tt from a 40, 2 gt mustangs from a dig, 1-1 with a mach1, couple turbod civics,1-1 with a lt1 firebird formula, and a 3.4 pulleyd gtp. No I've had boosted cars in the past I use to brake boost and still do (not boosted still) but it makes a hell of a difference go try it and let me know :) no downshift time and already in the power band :) if I had a passenger I woulda recorded but I didn't lol ill get videos again when I re run them all re running the tegra,Audi, and the gt's. and dsmuts your boosted with instant boost but it'll still help you!!! Just try it lol

^^^^im so lost on this whole statement. you talking off the line? (dead stop start) or while rolling? while rolling dont sound right at all.


ill i got in my head is a simulated line lock. (holding the brakes while giving it gas, for a harder launch) all that does its hold the car back while you give it as much gas as it can take without the car moving, this puts the the engine rpm's higher and into the start of the power curve. aka the top of your stall speed converter. around 1800 rpm in a stock car. then as you let the brake go you nail the gas as much as possible with out breaking the wheels free.

Alright I'll go through how I dig race my car and how I roll race my car!


DIG RACE: when I go from a dig I use my traction control and stall up to 1500 (there is no bogging any higher or lower and it will). When I take off you can go 1/2 throttle until 3000rpms then hit the T/C button and subang you got the perfect launch.. I have videos of Doing a launch exactly like I just said.


ROLL RACE: say your doing 40mph and the car is sitting at like say 1800rpms, if you just drill it you have shift time (to downshift) and let the Rpms come up, if you brake boost (where you put your left foot on the brake and the right on foot on the gas full throttle of course) and your instantly in your powerband and already downshifted

BRAKEBOOSTING: is used in turbod cars to put you instantly in boost so that you don't have to wait for the turbo to spool.

hope this clears up a lot of your guys confusion
 
i see now. your killing your tranny and brakes with the rolling start. dropping a gear would do the same thing pretty much.


and turning the trac control off after the launch is a bad idea too. as ive had my trac light flash at 60 plus mph when floored, when it flashes, it cuts power to the engine.
 
Thanks for the info and I know the tranny part is bad that's why I don't roll race a lot lol and that's a fwd ricer excuse lol

and the only time I launch like that is if I really need it like for insense the mach1 race, I knew he would beat me if I got a horrible(spinning) start. I haven't noticed it flashing yet but I have noticed my car falls flat on its face at 85-90mph then slowly climbs to remaining speeds. PCM saying slow down? Or is it just me lol
