I pulled it forward more and also looked at the amp setting, the Bass Boost was all the down, turned that up about 3/4th the way and now it hits real hard. I chose a song with a lot of bass and turned the boost all the way, Super loud but distorts the bass kinda so i thought it would be best to turn it down some.

Just for safety, I wouldn't recommend turning the bass boost any higher than 1/4. It WILL destroy subs if not used properly

closer to the trunk lid there should be less cancellation

again nothing is ever set in stone with car audio, but this is the general consensus

By this, do you mean just pulling the sub towards the middle of the trunk?

it means that putting the sub as far back in the vehicle as possible(rear) should create the least amount of cancellation....in theory

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Finally An Engine Update.

After looking under the hood and admiring Jeremys work on my blower, even though it looked great, nothing was flowing together. Needed to paint my TB and intake elbow. After looking at the TB for awhile it seemed pretty straight forward on how to remove. Couple texts here and there to Jeremy and Josh with some questions, and soon enough, for my first time ever, i removed my TB, un-did all the sensor, taped spots off and went to town with paint. When i was finished, took me 5 minutes to install the TB again. So easy, im proud of myself for doing it, and it turned alot better.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

I dont know how to do that. Ill have to wait for jeremy again to help install that.

Painting my Fuel Rails red next, BUT Jeremy has me thinking, i kinda want ZZPs Modded Fuel Rails now. $150 aint to bad and that one single chrome braided line over the SC will look sexy.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Looking better and better. Though, before you pull the VC, make sure to clean around it well, so nothing falls in. Also be a good time to give the whole bay a nice scrubbing to really show off all that purty stuff.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Front VC aint bad... Coil Bracket off, dog bone off. VC off.. DONE...

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Yeah, its pretty damn dirty around the VC as of right now, soon ill clean it all and should be looking real good. Engine bay may look modded, but im slow as f***

:th_laugh-lol3:

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Your not THAT slow... Unless you are racing me... Then yea you are...

:th_biggrin2:

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Not sure how to remove coil bracket, but dog bone bracket, i know all about that thanks to you.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

looks nice :). if you wanna see my car, i finally posted a ride thread aha..

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

coil bracket is just a few bolts after you get the belt off

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

I did see that cuz i was having a bxtch of a time putting my lower rad hose on the block .-. was thinking about taking out the coils. then said to muchh work..then i realized.. i had the rad hose backwards..then flipped it. and it slid right on. i felt so ****ing stupid lol.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Coil bracket isn't bad Dan, but you want to remove your coolant overflow bottle first so its not in the way. and you need a VC gasket before doing so. Then just RTV with the gasket when going back on.

Uh... 97.. Coolant overflow is on the drivers side....

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

I meant washer fluid jeeez. I'm sure he knew what I meant. Also have fun pulling that belt off and putting it back on yourself, that was such a *****. Your belt is so tight for some reason.

I figured thats what you meant... And my belt is tight as **** too.... Might be a 97 thing???

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Has to be, my belt was never that tight, i think he may be maxing out his tensioner as well. it's pretty tight. tighter than a virgin on prom night.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Even More Of An Engine Update.

Jeremy, i might just wait for you some weekend when you have a day like saturday. We will throw on the new VC and paint the rails red, then pretty soon, im highly thinking about getting the ZZP modded fuel rails, you have me thinking dearly.
