Some 97-00 vehicles only showed 1.9 pounds, it's something about a mislabeling on certain VIN numbers. From my understanding they all need 2.25 pounds (36 ounces).

The reason I added 1.9 pounds, was because I looked it up on Mitchell OnDemand. That's what it told me, and that's what I did.

I don't have access to the A/C machine anymore, since my schooling just ended. So if I wanted to add more, I'd have to add it through an R-134A can or something.

That's what I did when I converted the truck to R134a, took it to a shop and had them vacuum out everything then put the canned stuff and oil in. Works good last I checked, I just havent run the truck in a year, lol.

Well, the time has come sooner than I thought. I am finally going intercooled.

Thanks to my wonderful girlfriend, she bought me a Gen V Short Stack Core. I already purchased some Modified Rails from Smuts for a great price. Selling my F-Body brakes and a few other things to fund a front mount / pump / hoses. Hopefully by the beginning of August I'll have the complete kit and installed.

In the mean time, I really want a Full Size core, so I will be putting this SS up for trade soon, and I'll even throw some cash on top for a Full Size Core. BUT if no one trades me in over a month, I'll be installing the SS, because I'd rather have an intercooler over none.

Anywho, I'm pretty stoked. BUT on the setup I'm at now, I'm already maxing out my injectors. So to be able to make use of this intercooler, I'll need to upgrade injectors. And if I do that, I'll be going e85. It's a snowball effect.

I got pretty lucky with this one.

I was talking to a friend about his Short Stack core he had and was potentially selling. Girlfriend snuck behind my back, talked to him over facebook, made a deal and bought the core for me as birthday present.

Haters. Between the SSIC and the e85 you are going to need a new transmission, lol. Sounds like a helluva lady!I'd be happy with any car as a gift!

Transmission has already been fully rebuilt with a few hard parts, not too long ago. ;)

Car shifts very firm and like a dream.
