Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

That sucks on the seat man. I'll see if I can figure out the fix and possibly fix it next weekend.

That would make me the happiest man in earth :)

It was 41 degrees this morning going to work, and when I sat down in the car without a seat warmer, I realized how much I already miss mine and need one again. Lol

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

41*, That sucks, I have been wearing flip flops and shorts for 2 months now.

Hope it's an easy fix.

You also live across the country from me. I'm jealous of the continuous warm weather you have.

X2

Just move south Dan! No need for heated seats

Let me weigh out mt options.

- Either fix my seat, or buy a new one
or
- Pack everything I have, move south to an unknown area, try and find a job, while still in school.

Hmmmm. Tough choice.

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

Got my fog lights up and running. Ran them to the switch inside the car. I also wired everything for my new Hi-Beams, just waiting on another HID Kit to come in the mail that I ordered yesterday.

I also started working on the dual heated seat switch a little as well.

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

Did some much needed work before the big meet coming up next weekend. Taking a summer class, where I'm basically a Mechanic full time but dont get paid, just credit. We were slow last Friday, so I decided to do some work on my car.

A/C has a leak somewhere, So I recovered all the R-134A, added some UV Dye, and Recharged:

Put the car up on the lift, to fix my Axle Boot Leak:

Gave the car an Alignment. Tie Rod Lock Nuts were so rusted on, I had to torch them with an Oxy-Acetylene Welder to literally melt them off the Tie Rod, as you can see in the picture:

Finished the Dual Heated Seat Bezel:

Plasti-Dip came out light gray, instead of dark gray. So I'll have to buy a new can and re-spray it:

Re-Painted all 4 Brake Calipers:

And then finally spent 8 hours buffing the car. Wash / Clay Bar / Cut / Polish / Wax. The paint needed some major work, and the results came out great:

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

There is a lot of touch up paint on the hood the pictures don't show. Lol. But it's amazing the difference from before until now. The paint was in rough shape, from a long winter. Pleased with the outcome.

Now I don't want to drive it because it's so clean.

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

Excellent job on the paint Dan.
What products did you use for the cut and polish?

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

Lookin' good. Those tie rod ends were froze on mine too. Wasn't even a castle nut and pin, more lock a lock nut or something. Just another excuse to use the grinder and get new parts, no problems here. :)

Thanks man.

I used all meguiars products. Ultimate compound for the cut with a variety of buffer pads for the cut, polish, and wax.

Re: 1997 Black GTP - Now With 04+ Seats.

Nice man, looks amazing. One question do you know the color that they use for the lower valance on the front and rear bumpers?

Also I am glad Eagle 077's are still around, man I loved them back in the early 2000's on the Nbodies, I might just have to get some, very nice detail work.

I believe its WA8945 for the Graphite Gray.

And just so you know, these aren't 077s. These rims are actually Mustang Saleen Rims. I did get the style of rims I wanted from the 077s but they didnt have a low enough offset, so I went with these.

Good work, well worth the time spent. Photoshoot before it gets dirty?

Thank you sir.

No photoshoot, because the cars already dirty from driving it for one day. :(
