Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.

Downside is that if you hit anything again it's toast. It's unforgiving after repair LoL

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.

I'm not redoing it this summer. I just painted the damn thing. Lol.

I'll have to do some research to learn how to fix it when winter rolls around again.

Thanks man.

I thought a Silver Scion TC caught my eye, was that you? Unless you were in the T/A, but a car like that, I wouldn't have forgotten if seen.

I only have one class left this semester, as the rest are already finished. 11:30 - 12:30 on Tuesday/Thursday. Hopefully I see you there again, soon.

I'll keep an eye out for the Silver TC once again, tomorrow.

You should bring the T/A tomorrow though, I want to see it.

i would only if i could park it on the top of the garage and some how be able to watch it from my class room the entire time haha

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.

Nothing real exciting going on with the car. Just got back to work full-time since school has finished up for the year. Child-support payments have been kicking my ass a bit, so it's hard to save up for car parts. Car has been getting a stupid amount of cruise KR lately. 25% throttle or less coming from a stop, the KR climbs as high as 14*. No idea why, just a gentle roll into the throttle and the KR climbs, and even sometimes cruising down the highway too. Odd. Other than that, car has been running great without giving me any issues. *Knock on wood*

Sometime this summer, I'd like to finish the F-Body brake swap. Cleaned both of them up and rebuilt them both, but that's about it.

Went to re-tint my tail lights the other day, and the tint came out all blotchy. No idea why. Cleaned/sanded the tail lights before. Anyways, was able to save one tail light, but the other was no beuno.

This one has many stress cracks in it and full of water/condensation:

This one just looks like ass:

Ended up getting a free pair of stock tail lights from a friend, and honestly, I don't mind the look of completely stock lights on the car. Will rock these until I buy some more LED tail lights again:

Here's just some pictures of the car I took the other day after a quick wash. The old '97 still shines up somewhat decent. Does need a good buff job, badly though:

Sitting pretty next to her little sister:

Interior shot of space shuttle, just because. She's almost to 180k miles :(:

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.

Tint those tails.

I probably will. But now that my LED's got ruined from the tint not sticking at all, I don't want to ruin these ones, as these stock tail lights are the last ones I have.

I second this. A professional gloss black tint job with clear and black paint would look Awesome also tape off the reverse sections!

If I was going to buy to spend the money on getting the tail lights professionally tinted, I would purchase the LED tail lights I've always wanted. Not worth spending the money on some stupid stock tail lights.

What did you do with your LED tails?

They are just sitting in my trunk.

Threw them away

I'll probably sell them for really cheap. Somebody might be able to work with them a bit.

I would've bought em! Lol

Maybe

I still have them in my trunk. I plan on putting them up for sale sometime for cheap. I figured somebody with a little time can get these looking much better. The one "hazy" tail light, has a scratched layer of tint on it. I'm to lazy to take it off. But if you can get than one tint layer off, the tail light will come out looking like new.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.

Here's some videos of the car and it's Cruising KR issues. No idea what's causing it. Took these while on the highway. Going roughly 70 - 75mph.

You can see the KR disappears as I let off the throttle, obviously, but quickly comes back as I gently depress the throttle. Like 10% throttle.

Thats pretty retarded, never seen that bfore.

Yeah tell me about it.

Coming from a red light/stop sign giving it roughly 10% throttle, and the KR just climbs to 14.9 and the car just bogs down from pulling so much timing obviously. I don't get what's causing it, but its getting pretty annoying.
