Re: 1997 Black GTP, Soon To Have F-Body Brakes.
Nothing real exciting going on with the car. Just got back to work full-time since school has finished up for the year. Child-support payments have been kicking my ass a bit, so it's hard to save up for car parts. Car has been getting a stupid amount of cruise KR lately. 25% throttle or less coming from a stop, the KR climbs as high as 14*. No idea why, just a gentle roll into the throttle and the KR climbs, and even sometimes cruising down the highway too. Odd. Other than that, car has been running great without giving me any issues. *Knock on wood*
Sometime this summer, I'd like to finish the F-Body brake swap. Cleaned both of them up and rebuilt them both, but that's about it.
Went to re-tint my tail lights the other day, and the tint came out all blotchy. No idea why. Cleaned/sanded the tail lights before. Anyways, was able to save one tail light, but the other was no beuno.
This one has many stress cracks in it and full of water/condensation:
This one just looks like ass:
Ended up getting a free pair of stock tail lights from a friend, and honestly, I don't mind the look of completely stock lights on the car. Will rock these until I buy some more LED tail lights again:
Here's just some pictures of the car I took the other day after a quick wash. The old '97 still shines up somewhat decent. Does need a good buff job, badly though:
Sitting pretty next to her little sister:
Interior shot of space shuttle, just because. She's almost to 180k miles
