Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With GPO's.

Is that color just the factory color for the lower portions of the bumpers? I was wondering what these would look like on a black car. They look pretty good

Yeah, thats front/rear bumper color. WA8945. Can't buy it in stores. One 11 oz Aerosol can costs about $33 shipped. Pretty expensive.

Also Miata > GP ;)

That's my dads summer ride. Clean little manual car.

Always garage kept. Stored heated in the winter. Mint condition with 55k miles.

More like tires and brakes

If actually went turbo or top swap nobody would believe it.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With GPO's.

GPO = Nice Grand Am

Rockers can break valve springs too if you do it wrong, and go slower with valve float.

I DD'd my XP car for 40K~. This setup had 800~ rpm idle with LS6 springs and a stock chain/dampner. Had about 75-80k on the stock chain when the dampner took a dump.

I didn't really DD the thrasher car, but I did put around 20k on it. It ate up a double roller, and I had the idle set at 625~.

I have facts; from personal experience.

I like the look of my GPO's. Will look much better when the car is cleaned up, and install the chrome grilles behind them better and when I eventually get new rims, it'll all come together.

I like my rocker setup. I really don't have a drive to install a cam in this car, or anytime soon that is. My future plan for performance on this car is to intercool and e85. I feel as if that setup should suffice my needs to go fast. But who knows, everyone wants more, and I will eventually as well I'm sure.

I'm content with the "quickness" of the car now and how she runs. Josh did a great job tuning my car. Its running an 11.0 AFR with 16* of timing with a 3.4 on Gen V, and my other odds and ends. See's about 10.5 psi at the top of second with 0 KR at WOT. Josh and I beat the sh1t out of this car for 4 hours straight in 85*+ weather and couldn't get it to knock until timing was increased past 16*.

It runs solid with zero problems. Now I'm just back to finishing the aesthetics of the car before anything else. Which include new rims/tires and lower. Other than that, I'm basically out of ideas for exterior modifications. Lol

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With GPO's.

Here are some better pictures I took of the car with the new GPO's. Really loving the look of them.

Thank you. Time for you too buy all the parts, and your car will be just looking just as good. Only around $2,000 ;)

Have you not seen my other thread?

I created a thread of which rims I should buy, hopefully by next summer.

I've came to my conclusion I'll be purchasing Mustang Saleen Rims 5-spoke chrome, 18x9 with +30 offset. Wrapped in some 245/45/18 tires.

With those rims/tires, and lower. I think everything to the exterior of the car has been done.

I'm digging the new green daily you picked up somewhere along the line, too.
