Re: 1997 Black GTP, With Some Go Fast Goodies.

Been a pretty bad winter here and Michigan and it's really taking a toll on my car. :(

Lost a foglight, Both HID foglights went out, Halo's on my projectors barely work, lost some paint on the front bumper and front air dam, Hood grilles fell off, and the majority of my audio system went out, no idea why.

After I get my go fast goodies installed, it's time to start making her look pretty again, hopefully. Not sure if I want to start repainting things, or re-do my audio system. I want a to modify my dash bezel to fit a Double Din. Hmmmm which to do first.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, With Some Go Fast Goodies.

I am not even going to speak about paint chipping... I lose one every time I go to the car wash... Dam gas door rust.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, With Some Go Fast Goodies.

Dan it could be worse, you could need to replace both bumpers.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, With Some Go Fast Goodies.

Your having a hell of a time with the paint on that bumper..

I'm really thinking about spending the big money and going to a decent body shop, so I dont have to keep repainting this thing.

Also.., how de fuq does one "lose" a fog light???

I didn't really lose it. I JB Welded the Pilot foglight onto the stock mounting brackets, and the JB Weld didnt hold on one of the fog lights and I saw the fog light just hanging there by the bulb, so I pulled it off and I need to put it back on eventually.

Well I need to replace the front bumper and the fornt air dam, so doesn't that count as "both" bumpers? Hmmm.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, With Some Go Fast Goodies.

Got a good offer the other day from a fantastic friend.

Smuts offered to help install my rocker setup and offered to re-tune me, since he learned how to adjust the MAF curve. Yay, hoping for a legit tune finally. Will be the 6th attempt at one.

One of these weekends, i'll be driving down to Smuts house, installing the springs/rockers and getting a good tune. Then on March 3rd my car goes into the shop to get the dampener replaced. Why arent me and Dan doing it? Because we are lazy and don't want to do the extra work, so i'll just pay to have that done.

REALLY hoping this rocker setup clears up my KR issues. This car struggles to run a 3.5 with headers and a 9.8 command AFR and still sees a 3-4* KR. How in the f*ck? :th_wtf: I've been told my stock springs are warn out and need to be replaced (makes sense since my KR issues come at the higher RPM ranges, especially when going 85+ mph).

After that gets sorted out, I'm still having MPG issues, even with a my cruise timing at 45* on the highway, my car struggles to see 24mpg at 70 mph, while city I'm lucky to break 15-16. Not sure what the deal is here as I have new(ish) Denso o2 sensor. Faulty MAF or MAP? I dont know. :th_scratchhead:
