Re: 1997 Black GTP, Don't Enter If You Get Butthurt.

But I like to things the "right" way.

And if the heads come off, now is time to get new ones, even if they aren't "bad."

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Don't Enter If You Get Butthurt.

I wonder if you can put those lights under the mirrors.... that way the doors dont have to be open to have the lights come on.

Not enough room in the housing. From that height you may be able to see them. I put a set in a buddy's truck and at first I wasn't sure how itd turn out but its good.

comeon... How much crap is HONESTLY in the mirror housing?

The motor and the mount for the mirror and motor. Trust me I just had the mirrors all the way apart fairly recent to install turn signals and theres not much room to squeeze stuff in.

How big is that projector? I might pick up a set of mirrors and see what I can do

The projector is about an inch and a half in length. Don't think its possible but feel free to go ahead and try if you want.

Ive always used VHT Niteshade w/ Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel.

Always came out great.

But not only did the Rustoleum lens tint come out bad, the clear came out nasty as well. Was not settling on the lens tint at all. Looked like a thin milky layer over the tail lights.

What brand of clear did you use with Rustoleum? I used rustoleum to tint my turn signal strips in my mirrors and a rustoleum clear and it turned out good imo. Ive heard that if you dont use the same brand of clear as the tint you could have issues.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Don't Enter If You Get Butthurt.

1998 GRAND PRIX GTP BLACKED OUT! PRICE LOWERED! he sold his car? Or is his still available?

This is my best friends car.

He is the one who just bought the 2010 Malibu LTZ (posted pictures a page back).

This car is still for sale.

Talking about the OP?

Becuase thats a 98, his is a 97.

Correct. That is not my car. My buddies car.

That first picture was taken in my drive way.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Don't Enter If You Get Butthurt.

Those Malibus are a joke to change the headlight bulbs. My bud just scored one and was entertaining HIDs after seeing mine.
He said F it after I told him the front grill/bumper had to be removed to get at the lights.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Don't Enter If You Get Butthurt.

Most modern day cars are a pain to do something so simple...ill keep my 10 year old car.

The good thing is if you use quality bulbs you won't have to change then for some time.
