Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

So. As alot of you know, I ended up tinting a pair of tail lights for some random guy.

Well I made this mistake doing it in the cold and they came out like sh1t. So I had to give him mine... It broke my heart.

Walking out of class today, I saw the car with my old tail lights. A shed a tear after seeing them... :(

Take this opportunity to get a pair of red smoked LED's. :D

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

give me your old ones once the LED's come then... if there is no fixing them..

The old ones are toast. Good luck fixing them. I already have my LED ones, have had them since December. My old ones are just sitting in the garage as a nasty ornament.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

Finished up gathering all my LIM gasket odds and ends for saturday.

Fel-Pro LIM Gasket Set
1 Bottle Dex-cool Coolant
12 Quarts Oil
2 Oil Filters
Copper RTV
Brake Cleaner
Supercharger Gasket
Throttle Body Gasket
Aluminum Coolant Elbows

Also picked up seafoam to do that at the same time.

Hopefully I am not missing anything.

Saw this at the store today, Anybody ever try one of these products at all? Just curious.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

Don't forget to change your spark plugs after you seafoam it. I would throw those platinum plugs you had before and then seafoam it. Drive it for a 100 miles then change the oil and spark plugs.

So this car will be getting three oil changes?

Dear lord. 2 during the LIM and one soon after the seafoam. Is that correct?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

Correct. Use whatever oil you can find for cheap I think I used super tech oil from Walmart. Then once you do the 3 oil changes switch to the good stuff.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

I have Valvoline Max Life, 12 quarts of it for the two oil changes during the LIM.

Why did I get that stuff? Cause it was on sale and I get a discount at the place I work. Came out to be the same price as Wal-Mart Oil.

Maybe i'll hold off on the seafoam for now.

So I will need to:
Put in my old plugs
Seafoam car
Drive around for roughly a day
Put 104s back in
Change oil

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

You got it.

And prepare for the smoke show your going to get when you seafoam it. It's pretty epic.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

I've never seafoamed the car.

Where do usually insert the Saefoam?

Ive heard some people put it in the gas tank.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

Half in the gas tank, pour a good 1/3 down the brake boost vac line, and then if you want throw some in the oil. But I don't like that option but to each their own

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

How about 1/2 in tank 1/2 in Brake Boost Vac Line?

Do that, call it a day and watch smoke show in Awww.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

That's fine you don't necessary have to out it in the crankcase. I would check the portions though you may not need to use that much. Later when I get access to a computer ill try to find you a link.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, No More Dinner Plate.

idk about half and half. maybe 1/3 in the boost and 2/3 in the tank. but yeah we'll get it done :D can't wait to see my bud
