• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

17's or 18's

(ridin on chrome) i know it was sarcasim bro i didn't take it seriously, i know it was all outta fun:th_laugh-lol3:. even though sadly i have seen a prix with 24's on it. not a pretty sight

Not really...

18's will weigh more.

So if you're going for handling/speed, then you'll want lightweight wheel/tire combo.

This is kinda why I'd rather take stock lateral arms and GMPP trailing arm and get poly bushings for them instead of something insane like BMR arms.

My aftermarkets are supposedly 6lbs heavier than my stock rim. I can definitely tell a difference due to rim and tire change.

Wow! Well you know, some People think big wheels look good on every vehicle.
I think I might get a beetle and put 30's on it,now that would be classic.LMFAO!

big wheels always look good when done correctly. its a matter of fitting them correctly and choosing a good looking stall.

i use the 19's in the spring, summer months. obviously the 19's dont absorb the road impact as well as stock. in my opinion there is not great increase in weight chosing 19's over 18's. i rebuilt and upgraded my suspension to compensate for putting on bigger wheels and everyone should do that.

It won't handle as well at the limit.

But no one drives a GP for its handling.

Also rough roads with stiff suspension and heavy wheels can result in times where the tire is no longer in contact with the road more often than a lighter wheel/tire combo.

That is exactly what I thought.I had 18's on it before but they were forte's and that wheel was incredibley heavy that is why I asked about the 17 because it is right in between.but honestly I would rather put an 18 it's just something about it that makes the car look good depending on the style of wheel chosen.I also don't really wanna go through swapping my wheels in/out everytime I feel like I wanna go renegade and run it ,You know?.It's one of those I know I can go faster if I had a lighter wheel type of thing.
