17's or 18's

Re: 17's vs 18's

^That definitely doesn't look to bad especially how low it is but at the same time I don't drive the gtp to get groceries lol! honestly as of right now I am leaning towards 18's and the eibach prokit to drop it a bit you gotta think there really isn't a 20 that is lightweight and these cars don't come with a front end to support such a heavy rim unless you wanna re-enforce it plus wit where I live the first day I decide to go to the gas station my whole suspension will be shot just due to the speed bumps but yes indeed I do understand and get exactly where you are coming from thanks for understanding my point as well (redline).

for those who don't understand when i say re-enforce the front end and my suspention will be shot i don't mean it literally i just mean i am not trying to deal with the amount of money i would have to spend every other week or month on alighnments and hubs because of these shyty streets wit all the big a55 pot holes around here.

Re: 17's vs 18's

you can easily run 20s on a car that you drive all the time, even if you drive like a douche.

what are you talking about reinforcing the front end? also, wheels have nothing to do with the suspension wear.

Re: 17's vs 18's

^that is true you can put a 20 on a big wheel if you want to but that's not the point i'm trying to make the point i am trying to make is the heavier the rim the more stress it puts on the bearings. as far as how a person drives you are absolutely right that doesnt really play a factor but considering the streets in the city i live in 20's are best suited for other cars not mine, and as far as re-enforcing the front end it wasn't meant as something to really do it was used as an analogy. Everyone that has a grand prix where I live that decided to put 20's on it say's they regret putting them on because of the weight and how bad our roads are now hopefully you can get a better understanding of why I won't put 20's on my car don't get me wrong they look pretty good on the grand prix but just not for me.

Enormous sentence.

i seen those rims on a grand prix but it was in a 20.the rim looked really good on the car which is what made me want them, tell me what you think and what offset you think would look good with that wheel.

THIRD POST UP.

What wheel would you recommend for my car? I think 17 or 18 would be the right size.. I want to maintain a comfortable ride and keep road noise down to a minimum...with the rigvht tire I also like chrome wheels..

wheel size really doesnt have a whole lot to do with a rough ride or road noise. that is the suspension and tires.
