how does it hurt gas milage????
and so do i need to replace gaskets on valve covers?
The car will retard the timing and run richer when it is colder. I had one because I have a canned tune and it knocks when it's warm out, but it broke and turned into a 120Tstat, so now I have the 195 in. No stock NA 3.8L needs one.
I'm too lazy to replace my VC's, I loose about 1qt of oil every 3K miles.
the gasket is like an orange colorI honestly can't really tell if they are the plastic ones until the LIM is wiped clean. If the gaskets are black, they're plastic...if gray/silver...then they're aluminum and you're good to go. Durk's right on the VC's, but those are easy to do...and then...you can paint them like you wanted while they are off. For the bracket, hell you can have the damn thing...just let me make sure I didn't toss it when I did the big garage clean out, LOL.
Thats not really the gasket part that they are talking about.
its mesh grill set, not a good look IMO, dunno were to get it tho![]()
any one know what this person used as the grill or were to get it
thanks slickThat part rarely ever leaks, unless the previous owner replaced the lim gaskets and didnt use enough rtv on the corners.
It's for something you don't have.
