pcm change?

Hey I just did a recent engine swap. A 99 grand prix gt engine 3800 into a 2000 grand prix gt 3800. If I put the pcm from the 99 into my 2000 will it work fine ? Or does it need resetting or anything?

alright thanks because it runs rough and will shut off after 30 seconds and i was told it could be the pcm acting up. so i can just take the 99 pcm and swap it into mine and have no need to reset? just plug in play and go?

what do you think it is? because i dont have the header crossoverfully on it has a leak cuz i couldnt get it bolted on right.

alright. thanks im just trying to figure out how to get that bolt up because there is no nut on it or anything its just a long bolt with a thread. any idea how to get that up through?

Why don't people remove plugs when doing headers?

I've yet to crack a plug with them sitting on the cowl.

Any idea how to get the bolt that coms up through that header piece that bolts into the header join pipe? I can't seen to get the pipe on all the way cuz I can't get a nut on it because the bolt won't come up far enough?

Are you trying to put the front or rear connection point together? Stock or some other exhaust? I'm confused by your description.

Either way, I typically use the bolts for it or that came with it. If you start all the bolts before tightenting anything, it should go very easily.
