• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just curious as to Why you went back to the cast front manifold
Honestly, its either warped where it meets the crossover(was on a previous turbo car) or I fail at powerlog installs. Could be either, I might try to reinstall at a later time to be sure. One thing is for sure I'm loving having no leaks there. I was constantly asked if I had a lifter tapping because of it. Became more of a nuisance than anything else.

Yea I took those at the meet this past Sunday. Where were you at? I was in a sea of Cobalts with no 3800 people around. Didn't think I would survive. Did you get the trans installed yet?

Pics of the wife's ride on 18's.

Cars look great man! I could have swore her car was gray. :th_scratchhead:

DGE meets are a Cobalt fest, were was Kris? She didn't bring her Prix?

No my car isn't done yet, Summit had a delay in my fuel line parts, getting rid of the plastic line crap, didn't want to install the trans since its so much easier to get to the fuel lines with the trans missing. Start fuel lines this weekend hopefully.

Kris and Brian couldn't come out. Sucks the car isn't finished yet, but nice to see you are getting rid of that plastic crap. And I don't blame you for waiting! What are you doing Saturday evening? Charity races are saturday at 7 at Kennedale. Basically we have formed teams and will be racing each other for points. The event is for Peyton to raise money for a new wheelchair. He was the one that got pushed down the stairs by another child at school in Arliginton and was hurt pretty bad. I formed Team DFWGMELITE and a few are coming out as well as Kris to do some racing. Info is on the gmelite website hope you can make it out.

Wish I could get out there, terrible what happened to the kid, but the wife needs our only car Sat. so I'm stuck at home. Just gonna be doing little odds and ends on the car and trying to wrap up the fuel lines.

where in texas are you located? i would like to see this in person, im in the dallas area
Dude me too. Plano specifically. My dyno, will be at true street motorsports in McKinney. You able to make it out? Always enjoy meeting fellow local GP owners. I'm also going to Texas Raceway tonight (7:30pm) in Kennedale. Would love for you to come out and do some racing on my team! The more the merrier.

Tek310 when you have a chance head over =dfwGMelite= and get registered. It's a local GM forum.

EDIT: wait are you Jeff's(regal) buddy? Only one I know of locally with a NIC cam in their GP. If so its a crazy small world.

Played with the AFC a bit. Got the LTFT around -3/-4 at idle compared to the -10 it was at. I'll see how she does on the way to TSM.

Ok just read some of your previous posts Looks like you bought that car from his buddy. Jeff used to call me about that car which seemed like it had several issues. And from reading your posts looks like it was more of a cluster **** than I thought. Appears you have the dudes ****ups sorted out though. Would love to Check it out and go for a ride. Never seen or heard a NIC GP in person before. I bet that thing pulls like a scolded ape!

Sent ya a PM

pretty dang good, get a set of springs, and hook it up with a tune. how much does true street charge to dyno tune? did you ask? some shops want you to throw down up front a minimum amount for 4 hours on new tunes.

They are $500. $400 for the tune and $100 for the credit.

Who likes swimming pools in their cars? It rained hard last night and filled my passenger floorboard and my trunk. No pics as I was pissed. Looks like I will be fixing that today. Should have pics later if it doesn't rain again. Although chances are slim the sun is gonna stay out.

Yea for windshield cowl mod.

First pull the plastic cover on the wiper arm:

This exposes the nut underneath that is ready to be removed with 13mm socket:

Now get somewhat aggressive and pull the arms off. You will be left with this:

Remove the four fasteners that hold the plastic cowl in place:

If your car is like mine you will see the weatherstripping has already fallen off:

New part:

Installed:

Now reinstall the cowl back in place:

Before putting the wiper arms back in place consider painting them. The black has faded on mine leaving the ugly metal exposed. The paint is drying now.

Now be happy cause you will no longer have a swimming pool in passenger floor board.

It's about to start raining again so I'll tackle the trunk another day.

Nothing really as I've been busy with school. About the only update on the car is a new filter I bought at Pep Boys. Most of my funds have been diverted to my 85 coupe which I've been working on the past couple of years:

Next for the GP will be some new valve springs.

I'm in Wichita Falls. I could wide band tune the car for you before I leave for Japan :). As long as you don't have anything crazy going on them it sounds go pretty quick.

Well the trans is slipping while driving so its time to park the GP.... for now. My buddy will be porting a set of heads that will be installed at a later time. I went ahead and purchased a new daily yesterday:

Dealership had just gotten it in the day before and there wasn't much info posted online about it. I honestly didn't know what to expect other than it being a 05 GTO. Found a sales person who said it was around back and they'd drive it around to let me test drive it. When I walked outside the first thing I noticed was the color and I was already in love. I get closer and see that its a manual and has blue interior, my favorite color combo in the GTO. We hopped in and began the test drive. When I asked the salesperson which direction to go he just looked and me said. With a car like this, I'm not going to tell you where to go. That's exactly what I wanted to hear as I mashed the gas and started rowing gears. All in all it was an awesome test drive, and oddly enough much more fun than the 09 G8 GT I had test drove 2 days before. Went back inside and wrapped things up. I'm picking it up Monday.

You have no idea how much I hate you right now! :th_laugh-lol2:

Sucks about the trans in GTP, I'm going through he same old bull**** with mine.
