• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Danielle's 99 GT :)

I vote black 18's lugs to match calipers and TopSwap! BTW how does your bf like the G6? Cousin was thinking about getting a G6 GTP and I didn't really know what to tell him other then it wasn't SC like mine...lol

I'm not sure about black wheels. I feel like the t stars would look crazy small, and I like how shiny they are now. If I was to get new wheels, I would probably do chrome or silver colored, possibly a black chrome. But I only see that happening if I bent the tar out of stockers, lol.

Besides, my 99 is proving to be cheaper and easier to fix than the 05...so in that aspect, mine wins!
And truthfully, I thought I would miss the G6 for mileage and its looks...I did at first, but not so much anymore. I drive it from time to time and I think I'm just to used to the GP interior. And I've been getting about the same MPG with the Prix as I was with the G6.

I won't hold my breath till I get a ring tho. Did go with my best friend to get her wedding ring cleaned and inspected and I went shopping myself. To my surprise, BF seemed to be totally ok with it when I told him before he went to work. I told him I had a picture of the one when he was ready to see it...next text was "Show me". I'm still picking my jaw off the floor.
So I was wrenching under the hood and looking at engagement rings all before noon today. I'd say I was pretty productive!

I loved when I owned it. It was just crazy expensive and everything is so electronic its crazy to try and fix stuff. It's an 05, I bought it in 08 and he bought it from me in 10. I had to get a new radio in it when I had it and now it needs another new one. Something in them keeps going wrong with the CD reader. It's a $500 radio. Not as easy to replace because everything is in the display on radio. Trip, MPG, oil change, wiper fluid ect ect. He's thinking about now just getting the seperate screen for the computer part and putting a regular HU above it instead of getting a new stocker.
Problem wise, nothing really. All I had to do when I had it was new door latch sensor to shut radio off when door opens, new battery, new radio, blower motor and other small stuff. BF hasn't had to do anything besides replace one of the pulleys and just recently had a crimped wire that fried every light interior. That and the typical peeling/pitting of the stock chrome wheels.
STAY AWAY FROM PANORAMIC SUNROOF. When I was looking for mine, all I heard was leak issues on them. So I stayed away and just got one with a single panel. Remote start stock is amazing. This one's got leather, dual heated seats. It's loaded. 3.5 motor. I was getting 23-25 mpg normal country/slight city driving. Highway was 28+ easy. Bought it with 41k and now I think it's sitting at 88K?

Here she is:

Yeah I was thinking some aftermarket HyperBlack wheels would look good...Rings are way expensive but they make you women folk smile haha...my wife was shocked when I went to the biggest bling they had and said try it on....she was like whhhhaaaaatttt? I said go big or go home!

They suck. Get a 04+ GP GTP.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have stuck with looking for a 99-03 GP. But if your looking for a 04+, I agree with Nixon.
They are nice cars, but idk. I'm partial to it, but its all personal opinion.

Now, there is a white G6 GXP running around town here and OMG....it's so gorgeous. I'd rock that no problem.

Haha, the one I fell in love with was 2k with band and warranty. I felt bad looking because I had no idea on a price range, but I also had no idea what style I would like. So I knew if he started looking soon without any guidance, it might not be good. It's just a guideline tho. I did try on a big one just to see and it was to much for me. I felt like I'd need a cart to hold my hand up and a body guard to protect me lol. I saw a 4 ct in the case and was like, say what? People where something that large? oh my...lol

It ain't about the rock if you truly love each other :)

Very true Nixon! And for all I know, he might hate the one I picked out. He had to go into work when I sent him the picture so I won't talk to him till tomorrow.
I would honestly be happy with anything he picked out, it's the thought, effort, and emotions going into it that counts :th_thumb-up:

My wifes is 1 Ct but its so spread out makes it look way bigger then it is and with all warranty's was around 2k and she still loves it...may not be about the rock but no reason to go cheap if you know you guys are meant to be

Good lol you found the right one for you....my wife didn't need a nicer car and wouldn't care anyways so we found a rock that she would like for a long long time

Today I got the car up on ramps and replaced the rubber insulators. So much better!
I think I like where they ended up.

Top one is old, bottom is the new

Left is with both new rubbers installed, right side is old

Both sides done. I think I may want them tucked up just a tick more. But I didn't see where to put the hose clamps if I went that route?
Unless it goes along the bottom "finger" with the rubber insulator and around the exhaust tip itself? Also, if I did that, would it be smart to use some type of insulator to protect the clamp from rubbing thru everything? Or will it not move as much as I'm thinking, and what would even hold up to the heat?

Andddd.....I got a silver outlined inlay because the solid purple just kinda disappeared in the gray.
I love it!

Once I was done, I polished the tips up again since they hadn't been done since before install. They cleaned up so easy and look great. It's amazing what a change something so simple can do.
Now, all I need is some LED tails and I think the rear will be complete.
I was going to drag the jack out and do rear calipers since it's cooler, but I ran out of ambition and it keeps sprinkling and is a little on the windy side.
