so who here has beaten cobalts?

Ya did not think the cobalt could beat the AWD evos and STIs, but a buddy of mine is looking for something like a cobalt that can beat STIs and EVOs. Lots of people who live near him with STIs and EVOs think they aer all fast and are bunch of dicks too.

Stock for stock they can't. Unless you have extreme spectrum of driver capabilities.

LNF stock from factory is 260. That's because of a learn down feature in their tuning.
One of my friends went from 260 to 330 with a tune, intake and minor exhaust work pushing 23psi.

Its a 5.0 with Heads/Cam/Intake and a Vortech S-Trim lol

haha i was gonna say, i've had some really good luck against the stock and stock-ish 4.6 cars.... but they needed driver mod worse than i do.

what kind of exhaust work? i'd be interested in some light modding down the road, but i couldn't find any exhaust systems for the LNF cars

Cobalt 2008-2010 HP & Torque ratings:
280HP @ 4,700 RPM

320 lb,-ft of torque @ 4,300 RPM

Kit disables "learn down feature"

This performance upgrade maintains no-lift shift feature on Cobalts and HHR's and adds it for the Solstice/Sky.

that is the stage 1 upgrade (pcm retune)

what kind of intake and exhaust wizz is this kid to get 50 hp?

turbo cobalts are fast but they are mustang (hype) type of a car. do i wish i had one? yes.

Uhhh, guy.

Tune is also listed.

Intake/Exhaust/Tune...from "260 to 330"...

Not sure what you missed there...

And they are far from Mustang "hype", because they are honestly...minus the interior, worlds better than a Mustang.

Most Mustangs handle like crap so I don't doubt their better in that aspect. They however will never have the "hype" a Mustang carry's. I personally don't care about the hype, I bought my mustang so I can go fast in a straight line for cheap. For what I wanted there is no better car with as large of a aftermarket as the mustang, period.

Go run Ryan's Cobalt.

for the laughs when it puts Boeing's on your car.

No doubt the LS is one bad engine. Im actually building one for my 1960 Austin Healey 3000. Im talking in terms of vehicle price and mods. When I bought my foxbody the LS had just came out. I guess fast is a relative term too, I took my stock 5.0 and bought a used vortech for 1800 and fuel system for another 350 and made 370rwhp, in a 3100lb car thats pretty decent. Ive gone a bit farther with it now but the LS and the 5.0 both have their limitations as far as coming from the factory. The LS weak spots are the rods/pistons and the 5.0's weakness is the actual block itself. Fact still remains that the aftermarket for the mustang cant be beat.

Who is Ryan?

I dont care if it would beat my mustang, there is always someone quicker. I hope he has a lot done to it to be able to put "Boeing" lengths on a 500rwhp 3100lb mustang though.
