Hey guys, im new to forums so forgive me if Im not following any protocols, but I just got my car out to the strip for the first time in a couple years, I put in a ZZperformance transmission, and pulled a warranty stunt to get a brand new L32 long block that was put in as well, back then I could get away with using street tires and the car would hook up, now its blowin up the tires every time at the starting line. I want to run some mickey thompson et streets on it, but the closest size to stock they come in is a 255/50/17, so I want to know what size wheel I can use to fit that tire without anything rubbing

255 50 17 should work ok (although I am not too familiar with 04+ stuff). If it starts to rub anything you should be able beat the offending parts into cooperation.

Thats good to know, but im lookin for width and offset of the wheel im gonna have to use with them, obviously it has to be a 17 inch wheel haha

255 tire will fit snugly on anything 8.0/8.5" wide. that's what i would stick with.

an offset of around +35mm to +40mm would be ideal.

Why dont you run some 255/50/16s. Its close enough to stock.

But for the 17s. Get some 99-04 mustang gt (not bullits) rims. 17x8 and light

Thanks for the input guys, I saw on another thread that a couple guys were running 26x9.5x16 hoosier quick time pros on the older SE wheels that are 16x8, might check that out
