• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Danielle's 99 GT :)

30 days?? i used to work at a body shop and cars would get waxed and buffed sometimes the next day after paint,

He said cuz its fiberglass and couldn't bake the same as metal.

if your not going to lower your should get some intrigue rear springs, you ass looks saggy lol :o
I know, it is getting bad. Not as noticeable from ground level.
Are the intrigue springs stiffer to hold it up better?

Looks good with the spoiler.

The intrigue springs will raise the rear end. I don't think they are any stiffer than the stock springs.

Wheels, yes I know. Can't afford them. Maybe once car is paid off?

Springs will probably happen sometime near payoff or sooner if the rear gets worse.

Tails, yes. Soon hopefully. Sean, have you had any issues with any of the bulbs burning out?

What do you mean by pylons?

And corners, yes. I found the tube of silicon last night and meant to do it but didn't. Maybe Saturday?

intrigue rear springs are a little stiff and a little taller so that when the subs weigh the car down they are about even with the fronts.

i had ssc springs and they were nice, then i did coilovers in the front and those were too rough. now im on vogtland and wish i did them right away! they arent as low as the ssc but they are close, and they are nice and soft!

Needs additional pylons.

Must construct additional pylons actually lol

Danielle it's a StarCraft game term, lol would REALLY be shocked if you did get it.

And you can afford them if you can get these mods, you just gotta shop around for a good deal. You just can't go big and new while your still paying it off. :P

For sho. Do what I did even, I picked up pre-gens for $50 and slapped my tires on them.
And by pylons I mean pylons! (:

Oh I know, but I figured she could just buy some from someone else.
And if we want to get really technical, it's "You must construct additional pylons!"

Today was a busy busy day for the car.
It got the following:
-Trans pan drop
-Clear corners re-installed (with chrome bulbs)
-head to toe bath and wheel scrub
-quick spray detail/dry (because I was to exhausted to drag to PC out and polish)

I also finished polishing/sealing the exhaust tips, so they are all ready to be installed.

Now for the pictures:

Tran pan drop went very well for my first attempt, very proud of myself.
Only ran into one issue: there was a bolt missing, so we got that replaced.
I did not change the o-ring. Partly because I was having a hell of a time getting it out even with a screwdriver and hammer.
It looked and felt ok, so I just let it alone. I did keep the new one, so if there are issues down the road I can swap it out if needed.
Gasket looked great, cleaned it off really well and also cleaned the pan. Went thru about 1.5 cans of brake clean, but its sparkly clean now!
I also wiped down the meeting surface of the trans itself, it was kinda icky.

As I was laying under the car waiting for the pan to drain, I realized how easy it looked to change the oil and thought to myself: Self...you should be doing this yourself... Except the part of doing it in the winter with no garage would suck, so it can go somewhere for that season.
Only problem I could see is reaching the filter, I didn't try to reach up there so idk.

Well, on 04+ cars the filter is right behind the passengar wheel, so if you turn the wheel you can access the filter from the side.
