Danielle's 99 GT :)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

I got the rest of my "stealth" bulbs in the mail today :)

And I haz parts to do following things:
-deflector to fix passenger floor water issue
-custom intake PVC & rubber coupling (just need air filter)

And then I gotta figure out the issue with my headlights...they are holding a little water.
They were foggy this morning after I washed it last night.
Should I drill tiny holes in them, run sealant around the edge, or dry them out and try it again?

And I'm thinking Reflective Purple for the new color scheme...I've been hooked on purple lately. I'm a girl and I don't see many other white prix's with purple inlays ;)
If I do purple...for the brake calipers I'm thinking purple with the bracket in silver just to make it pop a little.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Drill a little hole on the bottom of the headlights. That should fix that issue.

Purple would look nice, imo.

DO IT DO IT DO IT!! I have been getting into purple lately myself..white and purple would be so sexy.

I think I'm sold on purple.
I like blue too (its more dominante in the glitter), but its pretty common.
Purple..not so common.

Most likely, nothing is happening till warmer weather cuz its cold.
Unless I get antsy and do it anyways :) (probably will happen)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Numerical bit will work. Just needs to be big enough where a little air can get in and out to stop condensation from building up.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Gotcha, thank you good sir!

I have this weekend off, and NO plans! (first time thats happened in a lonnngggg time)
So if its not to chilly, I will be spending some time with the car :)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Weekend off results in working on the prix :)

I changed the corner bulbs to the stealth ones I got.
SO MUCH BETTER!!!
I will get some night time pictures maybe later.

Without further ado....

This headlight likes to hold water, so I used the air compressor to dry it out in hopes that would help. If it does it again, holes will be drilled.

annnnddd....maybe tomorrow I will attack the stock intake box ;)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Looks good! real stealth lol
Maybe you already said, but what are you doing to the intake box?
I gutted mine out.

Removing it to put a cone filter on.
I wanna paint it but think ill leave it white for now until next spring when I change colors.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT

Those stealth bulbs look so much better. You may want to bead a bead of silicone around the bulb opening and along the edge of the housing. If it still get's moisture then drill the holes.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (updated 10/30)

So, I finally got to doing to CAI and I didn't break anything!
It started up and no codes as of yet (i broke the little cover on the sensor and its not in there very tight..)

It looks like poo IMO. I drilled the hole to far away and it was a little to large, so between the sensor not fitting and pulling, I RTV'd the chit out of it...
I work tomorrow night, so I plan on picking up a new elbow and I think I oughta get a new sensor just because (if they aren't to expensive?).

I think I'll drill a hole here and just stick the sensor in the rubber coupler?

I used 1 strip of velcro and a couple zip ties to hold the PCM down, It should be ok Id think.

I'm not very happy with my work, it was cold and I hurried thru it, flying by the seat of my pants.
So, I'll fix the sensor and elbow for now.
Its staying unpainted until spring when I make a final decision on color change.

Anyways, enjoy my sloppy work :)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (updated 10/30)

wow that filter looks great compared to how it was lol

I got a K&N cleaner kit and cleaned the shiz out of it and then oiled it.
I was impressed how well it cleaned up too :)
Thank you for the filter!

(I have less than $20 in this set up!)
Now It'll be more due to getting a new sensor but oh well.

I'm assuming these sensors are in stock at most auto places since they fit a ton of different cars?
