Will these tires fit?

Hey guys, I got a smokin' good deal on a set of General UHP tires yesterday, only problem is they are 205/55R16. I have been told this size is too small and will cause my ABS to act up? Has anyone else ran this size of tire?

Forgot to add that my Grand Prix is a 2003.

idk about the ABS, but if you dont mount them, at least you could use them for pizza cutters :th_laugh-lol3: hahaha ahhhh my jokes are lame today

I don't think your abs will be affected but your speedo will be off. Those are the tires they put on the old ford focus's

Re: Will these tires fit?

they will fit fine, but way too small...

and moved. this should be in the wheel/tire section.

I ran this size tire last winter (winter tires) as they were free. they work fine but your speedo will be way off, and they spin reallly easily just so you know.

Aside from speedo issues, you will have to run the pressure pretty high to compensate for the smaller size tire versus the weight of our GPs. Since I've run my GPs with 225/60/16 at 32 psi and gotten 50-60K miles out of each set of tires, you probably have to run those 205/55/16s at 35 psi or higher. But the max cold pressure rating is probably 35 psi. They will ride pretty hard.

Wow that was a brilliant video, I kinda look like that guy although I have brown eyes. Im sorry i've upset you forum master, you see I needed to get my answer fast as I dont sit on the computer in my parents basement all day thinking up ways to flame the other forum users. I have a house, family, 2 dogs and a 2 acre yard that needs constant attention as well as 4 vehicles to maintain. So you just go back to shining/moding up your little GTP or whatever the heck you have and hush!

Thank you for the usefull information, I think I will just sell the 205/55r16's and get the proper tire for my Grand Prix!
