WOT Hesitates then chirps 2 & 3/ stalls around 2200 rpms?

I think I messed up my trans. Long story short, I popped a tire, so I threw on a 16 with my stock 17s as a temp fix. Drove that way about a week and a half. Now that I have a matching pair of wheels up front, at 3/4-WOT my car hesitates to shift for 2-3 seconds then it will slam into gear and scratch the tires in second and third.

Around 2200 rpms it feels like the tras will just free spin and the car gives a stall like feel until I give it more gas, then it'll chirp the tires.

Does anybody have any ideas on what could be the cause before I dump my intercooler fund on a tranny?
 


Somethings wrong with your tranny, I would get it checked at a shop. It would have to do with the wheel sizes being different.
 


I ran diff size wheels on my el camino before i knew any better but it didn't hurt anything, but i've heard it's hard on the differential.

what you got yourself there is a homade stall on your torque converter drive that bich til it blows

It threw a few lights on when I got onto my short undar a minute highway portion of my drive to/from work. It seemed to only kick on around 55mph

I've also heard that. I wish it would be something simple like the dif, I would just do an HD upgrade.
 
If the engine revs and the trans doesn't seem to put the power to the ground properly, that's called slipping. Because there's slip between the engine power and the tires.

Can't see Tube at work or I'd check it out.

I've decided its not the tranny, since the car stalled and died on me twice so far today... I need a local 3800 pro ASAP.
 


I've thought maf for a while, but when I unplug my maf the car won't start or run, so id about that. Didn't think of the Crank Postion Sensor.

My battery was dropping into the 12s at idle earlier.

Alt maybe? I wouldn't really think so but if it's not putting out the right voltage the sensors won't work right.
