I wouldnt expect a mail order tune to deliver 30 HP. I would expect it to feel like a big difference in speed, due to the trans shift points, and other settings adjusted for performance, along with the HP gains(15 HP?) I am just guessing though. Obviously it would depend on any supporting mods that you may have as well.
That sounds pretty close to me. You will notice a big difference with those items. You may have to modify exhaust to make it run the best though.Yeah i was talking about the PCM in addition to the CAI i got and im about to order a HV3 intake insert. so i figured with those 3 i would hope it would be around 230hp, not whp.... and i would assume that i would notice a big difference compared to stock...
I used DHP PCM And it was great. No problems to date. I've seen many PCM upgrades on the internet and the only ones I would trust are Digital Horsepower or ZZ performance. Also I have a Dyno sheet With results from the DHP PCM. At the wheels I got 13.3 HP. My car has a 3800 series 2 naturally aspirated I have typical mods CAI,Exhaust,Throtle body,MSD Ignition upgrade, simple stuff. I was most impressed by the DHP PCM. I'm new to this forum and havent dabbled much with computers. Usually I'm spending most of my time under the hood. I'm not ASE certified but I've been working on cars for at least 15 years. Trust me go to the DHP Website. Even call there tech support ask any and all questions you have.Has anybody used these guys? And if so what do you think?
Is there a problem with ZZP PCM? I wasent aware of any problems. As far as a waste of money on DHP PCM .You dont what your talking about!!!! The PCM Has custom shift points, harder shifts it also monitors the engine and adjust timing and air fuel mix. All of this means better performance more horsepower!!!

Your factory computer is set to an air fuel mix of about 15.7/1 way lean. a more ideal fuel mix is around 12/1 for all out performance WOT.this of coarse depends on engine load and RPM. to obtain this performance fuel number you will need a performance PCM to do the job. Theres also the issue of timing. By advancing the timing (this also changes with RMP) you can maximize an engins horsepower. The new PCM takes care of that as well. Dollar per dollar with the exception of NO2 upgrading to an aftermarket PCM is the best mod to do even if you dont have any bolt-ons (CAI,Exhaust). As you upgrade your bolt-ons your upgraded PCM will adjust to the new found fresh air. It will give a little more fuel a little more timing and BOOM!!Umm, it does that already. :th_scratchhead:
OK. I guess I'll have to take you back to pre-scool!!! Do you even know what a car is or are you borowing your older sisters moped then drawing from that experience to educate ME?!?
