ive been doing alot of research into my header purchase. and am trying to buy the zzp headers but whats got me stumped is the extras that come with it. i just want to install these headers and weld them on. so this is the way i see it. https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=899&catid=110

i dont need an egr i think.:th_scratchhead:
i think i need the additional 3 inch gasket $10:th_scratchhead:
im getting the mild steel downpipe with cat $150
my choice of down pipe since it comes with it so i choose the 3inch because im welding.
and im deff keeping my stock cat.

my inquiry was on the use of the egr and if i needed it. and also the 3 inch gasket. . . .

you dont NEED an EGR, but youre going to need to turn the codes off if you decide not to run one otherwise your SES light will always be on.

yes, youll need that 3" gasket to go from the headers to the downpipe.

excellent, exactly wat i ordered. if i did get the egr how would i use it. isnt it used to cool some exhaust air and put it back imto my intake air? i dont know, something like a turbo?

COOL exhaust air?

LOL Thinking its like a turbo...

It brings the hot spent gases back INTO the intake for better MPG's. Get rid of it...EGR's blow.

do u already have 3 inch catback system? Do u have emissions where u live?

yeah i already have a catback. and who doesn't have emissions where they live. well i wanna keep the cat on there for the reasons stated. (makes tail and bumper dirty and sounds like a high buzzing noise.)
