• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Its a sensor that reads your IAT or Intake air control. Please read the post before proceeding with more questions. What to do with the IAT sensor it is detailed in step 6.

ok i read EVERYTHING but alas, im still a lil confused. What exactly is the roof flashing for? to cancel heat coming off the engine? and where can i get one? also, how big of a cone do i need? will mine work (its bigger in person) and i only have to remove the headlight and cut one piece correct? haha sorry for all the q's

yes it is in there......you drill a hole wherever you want in it transfer the bung or get a new one(small roundish rubber piece) and slide the sensor in. Very easy......

the roof flashing is to block off the air from the motor bay(warm) getting into the fender wall where your intake will be(cold air). This is available at a lowes or home depot, etc. you need to get a cone big enough to fit over the pipe or the bend piece in the fender(depends on how exactly you make it.) You would have to measure yours and if it is bigger than the pipe or bend(whatever you are attaching it to) it will work-just guessing that it is not a 4" plus diameter on yours. Yes you will have to remove the headlight(takes two mins) and cut the one piece(fenderwall support bracket) trust me...you will see the piece that is in your way...............good luck if this is the route you are going to go.

ya im gonna get rid of what i got now, order a bigger cone if need be and get my buddy over here and spend an afternoon makin horses =p hahaha oh and how much roughly is a roof flashing? and ya i wanna just take the headlight out just cause its easy lol also, its bad to touch the bulbs i hear, so should i just let them hang after i remove the headlight?

I dont know how much a roof flashing is, but I think you can get everything for $50 or less.......I would guess it is less than 20, but I have no idea on the cost for roof flashing, heck it might only be $5. You can let the bulbs hang and actually tuck them behind where the light came out of. there is plenty of space in there.

oh well thanks lol youve been super helpful so ima use that thank buttton (dunno what it does b/c im kinda new to forums in general) but the day i do all this i might need your number to call you so you can walk me through **** i get stuck with haha ill def send you updates on how it goes if you want

cool.......keep us all up to date. There are people on this site that know a lot more than me about these cars and many of them are helpful........we can get you through most of the stuff...........the thanks button changes the thank count(it is in the upper right corner of each one of your posts) good luck..........

i just got a K&N intake filter this week and i can tell you it is well worth the money. muy bueno, and they sound great too

too bad they dont block off the rest of the motor cabin better with their shield set up.... they could get more cold air and be better yet.........a lot better than stock though... I am sure

Take the bulbs out what? Dude the entire headlight comes out as a whole in the capsule. Headlights stay in it...once the 2 10mm bolts are out you just unplug it.

yes....disconect the bulb assembly out of the headlight housing, not the actual bulb out of the assembly.....he knew what I meant...

Lmao yeah I know I didn't mean specifically fram just stating that you really won't see much difference at all between paper filter and a K&N drop-in.
I'm sure this has been stated somewhere in here already but those ebay chips not only are useless but they can **** up your engine too from what I've heard.
