don't know if there's any really respectable shops in Fayetville but i'm sure there are considering the turnout for the track there. But Wilmington if a few hours from you and we have 2 pretty respectable shops here. National Speed, and BnT Performance.. i've heard both good and bad about both shops. but your gonna get that w/ any shop. good luck

Are you talking about Thunder Valley? I've never been but i think Freaky Friday is when i need to go out and ask around. If i cant find anything here, i have a good friend at Kure beach i need to visit so that could workout good. Thanks for your help!

Anybody else have any recommendations?
Anybody know anything about National Speed or BnT Performance?

I've had good experience with Carolina Auto Masters in Durham.

Thanks a lot. Durham is not far at all. So i guess they did a tune for you? What car and what mods did you have done? Thanks again for your recommendation.

Jeff has tuned three cars for me; a 2002 Chevy Camaro 35th LE with a Lid, headers with catted y-pipe, and underdrive pullies. A 1999 30th Anniversary T/A with a Lid, Headers with Off Road Y-pipe, and LS6 intake. Finally a 1998 Trans Am With Lid, LS6 intake, and headers with off road y-pipe. I used to be big into F-bodies but with the Economy the way it is I had to sell my toys and get something more practical, ( 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G) but I still have the mod bug. I already have a K&N FIPK and 180 * t-stat on the Grand Prix and plan on a full exhaust from the headers back, along with a smaller pulley and 1.9 roller rockers. Then I'm going to take the car back up to Carolina Auto Masters and have Jeff tune it as well.

Awesome thanks so much. I emailed Jeff and he got right back to me. He said he has done a lot of GTP's. I'm gonna go get a $400 Dyno tune. Should i tell him who referred me?

No Problem, you won't be dissapointed. Jeff's a nice guy and he knows what he's doing when it comes to GM vehicles.

How did everything go?

Everything went good. I had trans issue on the way home that i thought was caused by the tune but wasnt. I ended up with 250 at the wheels, and a significant torque increase. I really like the shift pointsl. A friend reset all the trans stuff though trying to fix a shift issue that shows up when hot. It ended up being a loose vac. line. Jeff e-mailed me weeks later wondering if i got the trans problem fixed. Good customer service!

I could have given you a pretty good tune for only $100 bucks (hp tuner credits). How much hp did you make tho?

Where are you located? And whats a "pretty good tune"? I' wouldnt mind trying someone with more 3800 experience. I have 2 PCM's so i could try another tune without losing jeffs.

I'm located in Raleigh most of the time. A pretty good tune would include tuning your regular driving Air Fuel trims and then your WOT fueling, timing and tranny settings. If you want me to do a good job though you'll need to get a wideband for the WOT part.
