That sounds about what I'd aim for, seems like a solid N/a mod list. Myself tho I plan on going 2.5" DP and plog or port out a stock manifold. I'd like to see how you do against a stock GTP or l67 car.

Also nice to hear its running good, seemed like you were having trans issues forever.

2 years ago raced my buddies SSEI from 60-110mph pulled 1 car on him and few weeks ago did a 1st gear pull with a regal gs and pulled half a car on him. Thats with the crappy trans.

Im very happy with the new trans but i might have screwed up and lowered my gear ratio from 3:05 down to 2:93 or 2:86......find out tomorrow.

Also that was with stock rockers.

yes bonnie race only mods were, intake,2.5'' downpipe, hv3, 91 octane incar tune from overkill. stock rockers stock tb.
regal was intake,headers, hv3,cat delete. stock rockers stock tb.

so just got done my new incar tune with overkill with the mods in my signature, the impala now chirps the tires when shifting into second! lols much more power from the ER rockers and L67 HVTB.

BAD NEWS: this new trans has 2:78-76(cant remember that exact #) gears........ Im so pissed lol.

SO the new plan is to take my 35/35 chain set out of my old trans, buy a 3:29 FDR and make go from 2:70w/e gearing to 3:29. then my n/a build will be complete. then its on to a new paint job lol

Let me know how the 3.29 feels. I have the diff sitting on a shelf now, will be swapping it eventually. Just don't see many putting shorter gears in these cars, well...most have the HD trans and don't have the option to. Our imps we can change several different ratios. I'm just used to rwd and shorter gears was always one of my first mods.

ya thats why i want them, i drive around town and dont go much more the 50-55mph to work.
and I want to try to get the 3:29's in asap and hit the track to see if I can dip into the 14's.

Enjoy never getting good MPG on the highway again :)

Although I'm sure a 3800 would be better.

My GXP sees about 22-23~ if I'm lucky cruising at 70~. And that's at like 2600~ RPM, too.

Good thing the car doesn't do highway anymore. Just 30 min of intown and 30 min of 55mph a day. So doubt ill see much of a change mpg wise.
hoping to see a 14.5 in the qtr mile. If i can hookup.

Same here, like 5% highway use. 3:69's should be a bit more fun in the city for a N/A car. I want a before and after on some pulls man lol

Oh i will. My current gear ratio is 2:72.... (long story) so with 3:69 the car will be a whole different animal.

I'm going to keep an eye on this. I'm debating on changing ratio when I do my trans.

I do 90% city driving and I'm on E85 so mileage already sucks. I have a tuner, so if I go with a gemini chain, swapping would be as simple as finding a set of sprockets out of a vehicle with the ratio I want.

I have a 35/35 sprocket set for sale. That would give you a 3:29 ratio
