Unplug the boost solenoid and see if anything changes?
Problem solved. Car was originally NA so doesn't have the plug for the solenoid and its not in the tune.
I am an idiot and assumed the solenoid was normally open and closed when pulling boost, so I trashed it and hooked up the vacuum line strait to the actuator. Now I realize that the solenoid is normally closed and bypassing it was making it pull boost all the time. Felt like such a noob. So I got rid of the line going to the actuator and now I'm seeing 11psi. Whole different car. This is what I knew it should be. Boils the tires off in 2nd with a quick blip of the throttle, and these are pretty sticky tires. Can't wait to get the tune dialed in so I can rip on it.
i need to see this car in person.
when my car is back on the road again, we should definitely go for a cruise on some extra curvy roads!
Took it to Albany Speed Shop where I have a part time job and they let me put it on the alignment rack and align it myself. What a difference!
NO ****!
That is about 5 miles from me, these guys are awesome. I'll be in shortly then, what days are you there. I need a steering wheel installed and airbag married to the car
Just tell Harold and Daryl Dave says Hello!
Heh, funny story about that. There was a Saab in there last week that I thought was yours (it wasn't). Was asking them who's car it was and showed them a pic of your car and they said they knew you. Small world.
I'm in the process of an L67-Fiero swap there right now. Waiting on axles so I won't be back in until those come in. Maybe next week some time. I'll let you know.
