I tried it that way and was not happy with the results. The inner lights looked way brighter and looked way off against the outers. So I cut up an extra set of outers and epoxy'd them to the back of the inners. Had to cut some metal out of the trunk to get them to fit but it was worth it because it looks factory.

Yeah, I have a '90 240 sedan. Turbo'd it last year, but the engine is getting tired, the clutch slips, and I'm pushing the limits of the stock trans. Rather than fix any of that, I'm prepping a '97 Camaro 3800/4l60e drivetrain to go in with an ebay t67. Re-gasketing the 3800 this weekend. Swap starts Monday.
 
Is there any update on this? Awesome car. I'm working on converting a FWD L36 for RWD by flipping the intake manifold, so I'm curious about your serpentine set-up. What tensioner is that? It looks like it would clear my thermostat housing.
