• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My freind has a 97 gt bbk intake/bbk cat back/stock gears and 5spd.

Mine is an 04 comp g 3"catless dp/3" exhaust to where it splits to duals/home made cai/180 thermo/cel for cam sensor

He walked me hard. I would figured I could of atleast hung with him. It was probably a 40-50 roll. First race with my gtp and I'm very disappointed.

Dun dun dunnnnnn

Yeah that was my post but I figured out what it was. I'd rather not say because I feel stupid enough as it is already. Live and learn..

Still though doesn't make sense that he would walk me. From everything I've read my car should atleast hang with the stang especially from a Roll.

Can't say I've ever seen a race at the track start from 40-50, why do they start this way on the street?

These cars , at least for me , are from stop light to stop light. Anything like a big v8 that you pull away from jn the 1/8 usually catches back up in the by the end of the 1/4

We have all made many mistakes.

I can show you vid of a flexplate that's on a motor 180* off from where it should be
Got pictures of a piston missing in an engine (not me btw..lol)
Name it.. I'm the guy who admits and shares his mistakes so others may not make them in the future.

Thing I'm getting at is.. if whatever happened is causing you another issue somehow, we can't help you if we don't know.

Plus..I'd bet that cam sensor code isn't helping the situation.

^^That won't help.

lol, cam sensor code.

lol, metal in oil.

Goes out and hammers on car.

Car is probably making less WHP than Mustang.

To put in perspective, my buddy had a heavy ass SN95 5.0 car with a B303, full exhaust, GT40 heads/intake/gear, DR's.

...ran against a 3.4" pulley, rockered, full exhaust 97-03 GTP...GTP would nose it everytime, except from a dig.

lets put it this way. my buddy with a stock '87 tpi 5.0 in a z28 with a 6 speed and 4.11's stayed right with me. I had maybe 3 lengths on him by 90 from a 40 mph roll. I have dhp tune. intake, plog, 3.6 pulley and a 3 inch downpipe. they arent meant for rolls

Edit: his car has 190hp to the crank TO THE CRANK

I changed my oil and haven seen metal or glittery oil since. There were no chunks or anything in the oil and nothing on my magnetic drain plug. So I'm not sure. If I was grinding lobes or something I'd have a ****ty idle at the very least of my worries and the car runs great except for a lifter tick. I'm going to try changing the icm see if that helps with the cam code.

What's up with the cell from the cam sensor?? Wonder if that is causing you some issues might wanna get that checked out bra.

first of all dont beat on a car thats obviously not healthy and 2nd 30-35 would be much better if you can start that slow or from a dig. learn to pick races that tilt the favor to you ie NOT starting over 50 especially vs a car with more gears beings these cars fall on their face after about a 100mph unless cammed and decently modded.
