• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Got walked by a stang.. Butt hurt is real..

Aren't the 96-98 GTs considered the turds of the mod motor era? 1996 was the first year for the mod motor into the Mustang and they were 210 HP... Power got bumped to 260 in '99 with a heads and intake redesign. I think you should have beaten him with the mods you say he has done to the car. The only thing I can think of is maybe he had the PI heads and intake swap done or maybe the previous owner of the car did??? I would like to think a GTP can hang with or even edge out a 96-98 GT all day long, stock for stock or slightly modded either way.

Like I said he had a 1/2 a car jump I on me. I'm pretty sure his a 98 or 99 gt. Either.way after riding in his car I feel that it should of been a lot closer. I wasn't ready and he had the jump and it doesn't help this was the first "race" I've ever run in the car and I was in tap shift.

98 Mustangs are very different from the 99's. Was it a New Edge Mustang or did it still have the rounded off curves on the body like they started in 94?

Granted that's a V6, but you get the idea.

Eh kinda surprised he walked you, those mods on a 97 gt really arent big gains especially with stock gears. Not saying you should have won, but to me it should have been closer. I used to have a 92 lx with some decent mods and I raced a GTP years ago that was slightly modded. It was from a dig, he got the jump cause I had no traction but eventually I went right by him. Was a fun a race.

Not crying and you seem to be the only person with an issue so go throw your 2 cents in with someone that cares because I honestly dont. If you have something constructive to say then have at it if not then it's people like you that give these forums bad reps to people like me that come here for awnsers. So if your not here to be helpful then have a good one.

Your own thread title is addmiting you're crying about the loss. It happens. You want some great advice.....take it to the track. But if you insist on street racing. Know your car, and know the car your racing. Especially if winning is that important. At the end of the day there will always be someone faster then you.

If you actually read the whole thread you would see I stated multiple times that I wouldn't even call it a "race" and that it was the first time I've ever "raced" someone on the street with this car.

If you don't have anything to post that's worth my time or yours then go troll someone elses post.

I did read it. I had lots of amusement from you.
Your car isn't running right. You raced anyway. And then got butt hurt over it.

And I still have you good advice. There is always someone faster.
