Lava rock does suck, big time. It took me a bit to figure out best way to get it in bags. It just kept falling apart. My guess is that it's been there at least 10 years.
We will eventually pull all the shrub things and put river rock down, all around the house.

Not sure if you can see it but, basically around my old house about 3ft deep and more in some spots was ALL lava rock. I had the task for taking a weekend digging it out and replacing it with mulch. Was not very fun, the neighbor next too us said the guy who used to live there would burn the leaves out of the lava rock every spring with a torch. Plus it wasn't fun hitting the rock with the mower and launching it into the house, cars, people ect.

Rocks... Mine need to be cleared as well. Ahem. Adult beverage... found a shot o Crown and a game of pool awhile ago. I need to unplug and dig out the last of my recent prescription, today wasn't really a win for me either despite feeling beat down now. Only lost by one pool ball and for me thats decent though lol.

The sparkly stuff I post should not be confused with OE paint maintainence... not that I've been misunderstood but somebody might. Paint care is indeed a valid science thats overlooked by many. Lots of confusing options to consider. I can't have nice stuff so don't explore that realm much. I do know how to do every step of show metal and paint and how to do cheapos too, but I can't even speak about paint care because I don't do enough. One car garage, thats mine ha.

Hey mister, step off that running board! That one panel alone took me a month to straighten just right. But seriously his foot won't hurt it. The fact thats an all 3M buff job might scuff his shiny a little ha ha. The mirror at the bottom right was cut n buffed by yours truly and I shaped that whole truck.

Heres the before... yes thats rope holding the hood down. The above pic I nabbed off the upholstery guy's FB. The el Camino he just did for us looks fairly wicked but I didn't nab any shots of it yet.

The face only an idrivejunk could love (not to mention the sound and smell). Its really hard to tell what color it is but that was on purpose. You gotta see it with eyeballs not pixels. On my sig, I had to pull saturation out to make it look natural but it was not a digital pic.

I spent the day outside as well putting up fence. It was a hot one today too. I didn't have to pee all day long. LOL When I finally did it STUNK. That was only from drinking water. We had beer in the fridge, but decided not to dig into with since we were swinging a sledge hammer.

Did go out last night and had MANY adult beverages and shot, easily, 20 games of pool. I was off my game last night. I missed some very easy shots all night long. Usually if I start off bad I actually start getting better as the alcohol starts flowing. LOL

Tonight went to a cash bash at the local VFD. Won $100. I spent $40, but either way I am ahead. I already planned on buying some brakes and stuff for the car so this will just help pay for it.

Good luck man, though too many times in the past I have applied for, or even gotten called for a job that would completely change how I live life as far as the change in money made, and every time I end up disappointed. Being out of work I am going to keep all options open at this point, but hope to be able to hold out for that life changing job this time.

I'm just in that rut at my current job, it's super close to home, it's easy for me now but still a few challenges sometimes but I just don't know how much longer I can take it.

I'm sent home early many times and havent got a full 40 in a few weeks now, always 37-38hr and that adds up over time. Who wants to come to a job and knowing in the back of your head that you might be sent home early because it's not very busy. They are way more "goods" about this job than there are bads but it's just getting to the point of I'm going to have to do something sometime.

I had some of those commission pay jobs where you either sit there and wait for somebody to drive up or stay home and get nothing. Each place is merely a different set of problems and finding balance is bliss. By far the most important factor in my experience is to do what you enjoy. The rest will follow if you put the work in, but never think that a time will come when you won't have to keep proving yourself to others. Thats a constant.

Stupid freaking construction has a detour that goes down the dirt roads here and its is DESTORYED huge ruts in the road its now basically a mud bog. Thanks too all the famers and semi traffic. You can't drive down it doing over 25 unless you wanna destory your suspension.

For me, the Ford-esque Lokar shifter harshes the whole mellow on this. But check it out, its the one I did a load of metal work plus teardown / some reassembly on. Another guy did floors and mud / primer. Me, just delicate areas like windshield bed and wheelhouse rot. Its a thumper, has that funky hot LS idle to it 500HP+ but no poppy hoody today. Later maybe. If you can spot any body flaws, rest assured I'm aware of them. They didn't have money / time to really fit the re-pop fenders nicely but they will do. The rest is GM steel.

I think it was this guy, hes the one I call engine guy. Thats a 63 T-Bird with the swing-away column (it tilts to the right, clear over by the radio, when you push the shifter up past park. No wonder he has a damn book out, he is wiring it. Its kinda a Y-block engine putt putt car with discs and rack added. I put a lot of metal time in that and then they chose white, dammit.

Heres Smoky the KC fan's LS YJ project, and another Waldo. Flares and rockers are steel tubing! The silver rice car is the one that outran my GT but missed 2nd and blew VTEC chunxx doing it at nine grand. Its fixed but no re-match.
