Ah, gotcha. Yepper they are visual pleasures. Candy-like, and thats what keeps me doing it. I cut a chunk of one Camino quarter off, fixed it and the wheelhouse behind it then put it back on. Can you tell? Study hard and find inspo in all that gloss, Russo.

Found my A/C doesn't work anymore, worked for the first 2 years I've owned it. Always noticed some green dye on the compressor years ago, never thought anything of it since the A/C was working at the time. Now that it doesn't work, I bet that's what's leaking. Although I don't see the green dye on the compressor anymore lol, must have washed away.
I also want to tint my windows, gonna do it myself with a tint kit and see how that goes. If I can make a nice set of retros I should be able to manage tint, I've seen a ton of how-to's and only the rear window looks challenging.

have help for putting the back window tint up. you dont want it to fall of and fold or crease on you.
and get a heat gun, you need to work that back window tint pretty damn good. i think i spent a hour or more shrinking mine to fit.

The tint on my GTs back makes it so blurry now, its hard to make out whats following me. F that S, it aged sitting outside so long. Not purple though, whew. It was nicely applied though, before I got it.
The '72 TA clone (a plain 350 vinyl roof '73) is the one boss wants to go to the big show this year but the customer is more like are you kidding if its done gimme the keys! I've posted more pics of that car previously. Have a 'bucket folder for them but not all are in there and zero organization. It has cool mods on the ass end (center exh, split n tucked bumper) and I have seen the rendering of the proposed finish, a dark dark grey or black with custom red bird and accents. I'm wondering how it will actually be driven with such cramped pedals. Large primary tubes and big 6sp but with box frame rails all around the seat bottoms too. Its crazy tight in there! Some tires/wheels showed up for it the other day but sizing was slightly off from our order so they went back. I swear the tire I looked at had a 345 width, didn't know they made em that wide.

I need to have mines retinted. All bubbled up from sitting so long. Already removed the front tint. Still have the back tint on I'll have to address removing that when I get a chance and can't see crap out the back window.

Yeah I saw a few guys manage it on their own somehow. I can test a method before peeling the film just in case. I already have a heat gun for shrinking, and am getting 2 squeegee's.
I'm gonna get the A/C working before tinting though, I can't have no air and not be able to roll the windows down for 3 days in 80° weather.

the black outline of the window. scrub the crap out of it with windex and steel wool. -000 if you can find it. its super fine and wont scratch the glass. but will clean it real good.

I called Paul for tint. He's the only guy touching a car of mine and many of my friends refuse to use anyone else. Quality film and an amazing job that I've never had an issue with. Bonneville had over 5 years on it's tint and when I sold it the guy asked if it was just put on. :th_thumbsup-wink: That's the kind of job you want done.

He hit me $180 each for the Bonne and Regal. I pulled the back deck in both and door panels in the Regal (actually it was lucky to have a seat and shifter). This one he'll do the whole job with maybe me helping, I'm expecting $300+ because it's Audi.
Everything costs more when you have a nice car. (except gas, that's the same silly price)
