Kuntsie had "supposedly" done an 04 with a 6 speed swap F40 Transmission from the Cobalt SS/Saab 9-3's. They are notorious though for chattering issues.

I asked a few times and he would respond with various things that never really got me answers.

There was a website with great info on doing this swap in a 97-03, not Kuntsie's stuff, I can't seem to find it these days, but if I do, I'll post it here.

I think i have pretty much everything all set ready to go. Only thing im not completely sure of is my tune, im sure there will will need adjustments when car is complete. Things i adjusted were,all the upshift points to 255mph and downshifting to 254, tm spark reduction tables to zero, fuel cutoffs in park and reverse to the same as in gear, and pretty much any code that had to do with transmission i set to no report. As for my ppm, ill **** with it when swap is done.

If using HPT, download TinyTuner, open your .bin and change "Transmission Type" to 0. This will turn it into a manual trans so you don't have to mess with the trans tables. DarkHorizon knows the PPM for the trans and it can also be googled. I think you still have my cell # right? Call me if you need to.

dude i've been on the fence for awhile now with 5speed swapping my car.

youre making it harder for me to convince myself to stay auto
