Re: 2009 mgm g8 gt

Had some time to do a little work today. I took the projectors apart and painted the shields orange. Also, cut some of the bracket to fit the projectors in, looks like I'm going to have to use the mini h1s as the lows and the fxr's as the highs unfortunately though. This will be the easiest possible way. The fxr is way too big to fit it as the low inside the bracket with still being able to use the adjusters. It will have to do for now though, it will still be a definite upgrade from stock. Only other thing I could do is buy the newest h1s to make it a little bit better, mine are the 5.0s and the 6.0s are the latest ones out as of now. I also filled and sanded with some glazing putty on the stock shrouds since it seemed like they had been melted a little by the previous owner. Still not sure on which shrouds I'm using right now too, I'm waiting on my e46 extendeds. However, they are on the way.

Cut the stock shield off to slide the projector in from behind.

All shields painted and lenses back on. They will show a passive demon eye (orAnge) from certain angles.

Re: 2009 MGM G8 GT - Quad Retrofit In Progress

Are those aftermarket headlights?

Has anyone brought over the full HSV bodykit yet? Just curious.

Re: 2009 MGM G8 GT - Quad Retrofit In Progress

The ones I have? Mine are oem.. Then all the ones I posted are quad retros with 4 mini h1s.

Yeah quite a few people have the whole kits. They sell em on the forums and fb pages. I just seen some for 1600 plus shipping for the bumpers, hood n fog lights I believe. Not positive if it was everything but people have em.

Re: 2009 MGM G8 GT - Quad Retrofit In Progress

**** $1600 ain't bad....painting it all is the killer.

Lmao, yeah I was thinking the same thing. It's decent tho, especially since these cars have such crappy paint n people sometimes Repaint the front end anyways
