• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

had a friendly race with a 02 gtp...met at a light, he told me he liked my car and he always wanted to run an 04+...agreed to a finishing point of a specific Dunkin Donuts down the main strip...he spinned hard, I drug him pretty good...cool guy...funny thing cause it was on my way to work, so when we both pulled into DDs he was a bit surpried to see me in uniform and a sig on my hip when I stepped out of the car....

One down, 3 to go. Those will get done tomorrow.

Dan, I'm in Markle. Wildcat festival. Registration/voting is from 8 to 12.
I don't know where the one was yesterday :-( I was out of town.

Matt lets see 'em in daylight...

Changed my trans yesterday, put the red one in the black GTP. Dumbassery only ate up a small percentage of the time involved. Solved another issue or two while I was in. Or out, rather. No upgrades. Fixed a sway bar issue or two, and repaired the 02's engine mount and used it because the 99s was shot. The car drives real nice now, I think I got the alignment back where it was. What a PITA just to swap a trans though... you gotta want that one pretty bad. Not a great deal of skill involved, just so much disassembly and dealing with tippy heavy stuff. Glad its over!

I've been slowly doing a mix of the 2 interiors, so the plan was to get these dark ones from the get go. I already have the dark seat belts, dark vents, dark arm rest, and I've painted the center console with the gunmetal-metal flake stuff. Hopefully once the swap is done everything will flow pretty well. If not, I'm already halfway through the swap to a dark interior, lol. It's a 105 heat index outside right now so i'm going to wait until tonight to swap the others in. I will run out and get a day time pic though.

Damn bird got diarrhea on my car, so now I'll have to wash it again. These pics aren't much better since it's so bright out, but it might help. I think it'll be okay with all the seats in.

I can't believe these seats don't spring back after you recline. Thank god my wife and I use the same settings on everything.

Same thing I thought, but the setup is different. I need to swap the tracks if anything. Which means I need to figure out how get the seat bottoms off so I can unbolt the tracks. The 04+ have nuts on the bottom, but they're tack welded. The 2000 seats have a round thing pressed in, so I have to get at the both from the top somehow.

oh, i didnt realize they were 04 seats. that blows for sure.

any way to make it straight again now that its torn down and you able to get to the parts?

I've tried, but the little gear box at the end of the threaded rod is fubar'd. Maybe some JB weld will help keep it together, but who knows. I might just get try and get it at the right setting once it's installed then hide\disconnect the switch.

ive head you can turn the gears by hand not sure what seat that was tho. per or post 04.

jb weld makes the world go round, give it a shot, take the rod out re mold the end with jb. let it set and see if it lasts.

The car show was fun today, lots of really nice cars. Impala didn't win anything, but had quiet a few people interested in it. One guy didn't believe me that it was a V8. Dude...your looking right at the engine...what does the cover tell you? I can take it off if you'd like a closer look for proof.

I'll upload pictures tomorrow of some of the cars I took pics of. I'm exhausted as I was at that from 8-3 and then went to the reservoir and boated/tubed for 4 hours. I have literally been home to sleep all weekend, and that is it. Been gone every morning by 7 and not home till 11 or later.
