• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

.....and for all you who cry i cant get a wrench on the top nuts to the mount, heres a 3/8 th ratchet and a 15 mm socket, on the bolt, came off like that, and back on like that. fit on both nuts with zero issues.

I would take this with a grain of salt. Even with my new mounts installed, I could get a socket and ratchet in, but after getting the nut about half way off, the ratchet was hitting above.

Maybe this is just another "plus" for the Regal? LOL

Scott..is that dude lube on the tops of the mounts?

Motor mount bracket is the same Regal vs GP. It's not the mount, it's not the socket or the ratchet, it's the guy driving it. Regal guys are simply better, that's why our sockets and ratchets fit better. hahahahahahaha

new mounts lift the engine a little bit, in my pic you can see the old one is flat across the top, new has a bow to it where the bolts meet the mount.

The mount has nothing to do with the space for the ratchet..

Red.. it's cause yer black, we'll make you a honorary Regal guy! Similar to Regal guys (black sheep) ... see where I'm going with this, we are all just better than the average GP owner.

Scott..what's that beige crap on the mounts?

i drilled drained and filled them with poly construction adhesive. figured id fill the cavity up top and coat the top to keep my oil leaks off the rubber of the mount.

Vogtland springs only give the car about a 1 inch drop. Enough to improve handling while keeping near oem ride comfort. Awesome springs!

Put my cam into before work today. Have to make sure the double roller clears in the morning. Going to pull the heads to do some cleaning and polishing on them, then off to the machine shop they go... not sure how much the polishing will help I'm not going to touch the intake side. But i figured while I'm doing a cam swap why not.

Stopped by the tint place to make an appointment. Goes in next Wednesday for the front brow. Lady there was super awesome. Said when I drop it off she'll lay pieces on the glass and have me sit in the car and I can decide where I want it that way. Awesome!

And I found out corn harvest starts next week. So if I want to get wax on the car before then....looks like I better do it this weekend. And I still gotta order new pads for the PC too. Crap.

Added a strut tower brace on Sunday. Any ideas on the functionality of these being worth it? It was free so why not?

Headlights & wiper blades ordered from RockAuto today. Love that website.

Once you factor in shipping it really isn't that great. I can get most stuff cheaper at Advance buying online, using a discount code, and picking up in store.

You don't ever have any issues with returns or stuff getting lost in shipping either.

This, I would rather pay a little extra as not to hassle with returns.

GPs with 455s are best-est.

SD, how many packs of gum is that? Dadgum! I used my eng mount from the rollover car Saturday, the safety pin was busted from being upside down but the rubber was still in better shape than the old oil tank one.

It did cross my mind to cut the bottom off a coolant jug or something, poke bolt holes and slip it over the mount. My pan leaks. But I didn't anyway. They should call that bracket the leak trap.
