The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Suddenly seeing lots of KR. Used to see blips here and there. Did four pulls from a dig to see how consistent the numbers were.
Pull 1: 3.3*
Pull 2: 4.6*
Pull 3: 5.2*
Pull 4: 5.6*
Read what the fault is for. It's just a slow switching code during a given time that the PCM runs the test. Say it needs to switch 50 times in 60 seconds but only does 48 and does it twice, then a fault is set. It's very common with headers and spot the o2 sensor is in and size of the pipe.
A bad o2 could do that, but the code you gave doesnt mean the o2 sensor is faulty. It's still working correctly as you have no codes for heater circuts or a rich or lean condition. I bet a new o2 sensor would spit of the same code.
Well my mpg has gone down. The car seems to be chugging gas lol. Some of the guys told to me buy an o2, as it's a forty dollar fix and no real loss if doesn't fix the problem, so I did.
No, not yet. Waiting to get a free weekend for Dan and I both since he's helping me install it. Also need to figure out this kr problem before I go any further with modding too.
having the same problem with my car. even getting the same code. I threw on a 3.5 but im still getting knock. Sub'd to see if fixing the p1133 code fixes your issue. I thought that was causing all the knock for me too.
3.4 to a 3.5 wouldn't make a ****'s lick of difference, really.
Stock pulley or no beef.
Find the mechanical issue, fix it. And tune it/dial it in.
Also; a failing or failed o2 sensor would have plenty to do with the way the car is running, KR or not. Why wouldn't it? Can't read fuel trims. Skews everything...sure it'll knock. That's silly, Cam. Change the o2.
Well I'm going to try and tackle the problem tonight if I can work up the motivation. I'm pretty exhausted from these last two days of football. We've been running our asses off. The sensor came in the mail yesterday, so we'll see what that does.
Had a problem with the ground wire breaking off the end of the new o2, so a guy I know who is good at welding gave it a quick fix and kept the wires from getting damaged. Got the new o2 in after smashing in the firewall quite a bit. Cleared the codes and took it for a spin. KR is back to normal.
