was your old o2 bent or look like it was hitting the fire wall? that may be your kR.

Maybe a little, although that may have been from me ripping it out of the crater that was in the firewall before I smashed it more lol.

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems And Another Code!

So you had strong fuel smell, fuel trims were rich, and had KR with the code? Swapped the front o2 sensor and it's all gone? I have the same symptoms besides for the KR

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems And Another Code!

Probably going to have to get another sensor. MV on my aeroforce is reading 450 constantly. I'll double check the wiring just in case

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems And Another Code!

If your o2 MV are staying constant, then you have a bad sensor.

They to continually switch from high to low.

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems And Another Code!

The only thing is now I can't really send my sensor bac lol.

Re: ILoveGM's 98 GTP - No More KR problems And Another Code!

These cars are picky when it comes to sensors. Typically just can't slap an eBay bought sensor and call it day. The car will "reject" it. Ask me how I know...

AC Delco is stock sensor replacement, Delphi works well too. Bosch, I've heard is hit or miss.

I went with acdelco, but the ground wire where it grounds to the end of the sensor snapped off, so I tried to weld it because I really didn't want to wait til next week to do it. Not to mention I start school next week.

Bill recommends Denso sensors $45 at Napa

Well I went to a few stores near me and called some others and none had denso sensors in stock. They all had bosch. Looks like I'll be ordering another gm one from rockauto. Hopefully this time and I will not completely screw up the sensor lol.

I've also been thinking and I think after my cam that I might do one more significant performance mod and then I'm going to take a break and focus more on the appearance of the car.
