Txslow6's Corvette

That really sounds like the ultimate car dealership experience.

I really like how they know what they're selling, who they're selling to, and its a sports car. It's meant to be driven hah.

I've also heard similar things about the C6 to the point where the extended warranty from GM is almost a no brainer. Couple modules fail over the years and it can easily set you back a couple grand here and there. Also, GM mag shock prices are simply stupid. Might as well hit up Pfadt or Penske at that point.

I'll definetly recommend Corvette Warehouse to anyone in the market for a Vette. They actually have customers all over the United States that fly in, get picked up by them, and then treated like royality as the paperwork gets processed. I wish all Vette owners felt like they should be driven, but there are a number of them that freak out if you take pics of a Corvette in the snow or rain. It's rather humerous. I guess this is where I seperate myself from them since I have owned numerous cars, 4 of which were Grand Prix's. In fact I have no regrets owning a GP. I'm that guy that walks up to a GP owner and ask him all about his car, mention the site, and talk all night about what mods he has. I was doing that in the GTO and a few GTO owners and various other sports cars owners would always ask me why I talk to them, Honda guys, or anyone else that didn't have "sports cars." Their comments were usually met with me rolling my eyes. Then me proceeding to tell them I come to the meets 30% of the time for the cars and 70% of the time for meeting other like minded enthusiasts. I don't care what someone drives if they have their heart and soul in it, I'm all ears.

Very nice, good luck with it!
: )
Thank you sir. I'll post updates as they happen.

friend of mine had a 03 Zo6 with head work, cam, tune, headers, loud ass exhaust. hands now the fastest car ive ever been in.

first gear goes to 60 mph in like a blink of a eye, while planting you in the seat hard the whole time.

he traded that car for a speed boat, it only took 3 years for him to find another one with less miles and a steal too on the price of his newer one.

he got 50 grand for the yellow one with all the mods. thats what the speed boats worth any ways, the newest one iirc it was only like 25 grand. and red.

bad ass cars for sure. drive safe. (in the rain especially)
I believe it. These cars can be pretty wicked when they are modded. However, I have no plans to crack open the block. Honetly, it's fast in stock form, to me at least.

Replaced the GTO and GTP with ultimate race car? Very nice man I have been looking at vettes for last couple years just haven't been willing to take the plunge
I quickly forget I even owned a GTO and TGP when I mash the gas.

Not to sure about them stripes however props for it not looking like every other yellow c5 on the planet!
I feel you on the stripes. I'm debating if I should remove them off or not, but they flow with the interior.

man I really like the interior
One of the reasons I picked this Z06 over the others they had on the lot. Interior isn't as nice as the GTO, but it's damn close TBH.

Nice car. I almost bought a yellow c5z before I bought my silver mustang. Only thing that stopped me was price to mod.

It can get expensive, but that's with any LS based car. My GTO would have been just as much to mod.

Fantastic pickup man, love me some Vette business.
I don't think anyone can g wrong with any Vette, unless it's crossfire injection of course.:th_laugh-lol3:

i hope you dont get that typical vet attitude. over the weekend i went to a show and some guy bought a new c7 and was acting like a snob so my dad told him hey open the trunk up and he did but didnt like it lol. so when are you getting another one? lol you do need a his and her vet lol
LOL. I seriously hate those Corvette owners with that "Vette attitude." Oh hell no! It's the same reason I never hung out with any GTO guys. I didn't really want to be associated with them. This past Friday I was at a meet where lots of sports cars show up ( 2010+ Mustangs, Vettes, GTO'S, Supras, Vipers, Skylines, and Ferrari's). I was meeting my buddy and our group of friends (Corrolla, Honda's, and Smart Car). I pulled in and couple of guys come up to me and tell me that I can park next to the other Vettes. I look at them and said, "Nah, I'm good, I'm gonna park next to that Corrolla and those Honda's." The look on their face was priceless as I drove over to my buddies.

I think I do need another one. The wife has driven the car more than I have. I already told her she's gonna make me break down and buy her a C5. Probably why she keeps asking to drive my car.

You sell the gto and gtp then?

TGP was sold to a guy in Austin. GTO was totaled when the ass end swung around and ended up in a ditch. Ironically, insurance paid out more then what I paid for the car.

Better question is how many cars do you have now lol. I know at one point you had quite a collection.
I still have the 87 Fiero GT and 08 GP(daily). Recently I purchased a man vertible, 92 4X4 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer edition. It's my IDGAF truck and fun as hell to take the family and dogs cruising in. It's got 237K miles, leaks like a seve, and still runs strong. Needs a lift and some tires though. Of course the Vette, and then a 2013 Equinox. [/FONT]

Good choice for a new car man. Im saving up to get a C5 Z as well. Its just the best car out there in the 20k range. I can get a 2012 camaro ss for 20-something k but a C5 Z06 is a much better car IMO. Love the CCW's. Now throw some Long Tubes on it and call it a day.

Says the guy with the minivan

boy you dont know the cars i dealt with then. lets see a 5 trans ams, 2 chevelles, 3 corvettes, 1 mustang(dont ask), 5 38 buicks, 1 1940 buick super, 1 1937 cord beverly yeah i have dealt with many cars. oh and dont get me started on the chevys lol

When I opened this thread I was hoping you went all out and kept the TGP and the GTO and added the z06 to the collection.

That would have been impressive lol

but nice looking Vette, good score :th_thumbsup-wink:

Nice car! I've wanted a 'Vette since I was 4...I need to get these kids out of my house and on their own so I can start looking for mine...lol

Wish the HUD in the Grand Prix's were as nice as the ones in the Vettes.

Also got my new Sony XAV-64BT installed. Nothing fancy and easy to navigate. :th_thumbsup-wink:

No need for a tach on the HUD when the only trans choice was an auto hah.

Still jelly though, it's one of few features I really miss.

This is true, but the oil pressure and water temp would come in handy!

Installed my skip shift eliminator and it has been a great addition. Just ordered an off brand Borla rip off catback exhaust. I'll update with pics of the install and video of new sound. I imagine it will be here sometime next week as it's being shipped from California.

The C5Z will drive worlds better than the Camaro and with how light they are it just makes it more fun. I've been eyeing some long tubes, but can't make up my mind which one I want. This car really needs full exhaust to wake it up. While I agree the CCW's are nice they are a huge PITA to keep clean. This mainly comes from having to keep polishing them. The previous owner did not order them with the coating. I think I'm going to paint/powdercoat the wheels black and leave the lip silver.

Haha. What kind of Vette would you like to own?

Sweet looks fun
I highly encourage you to test drive one and really see how fun they are! :th_thumbsup: Carefull though it may make you want to buy one.

Plans will be drilled/slotted rotors, full exhaust, intake, tune, then most likely a supercharger. I'd like to get the top painted black as well. My goal is 500ishwhp.

I'd REALLY like an old ZR1...but I don't see that happening. I also really would like a triple black C5 convertible...
I have a soft spot for C4's. Probably because a 89 was my first Vette. Triple black C5's are sex.

Exhaust should be be here tomorrow and intake on Wednesday or Thursday. In hopes to have everything installed by this weekend. I'll have pics and videos of course.
