OK so car won't stay running and the security light is flashing, it will run for about 3 seconds and the die. My buddy said it's the magnet that went bad in my key and I should get a new one, Itried to do the security relearn but it didn't work not sure if I did it right

thats not a bad price really. most of the time they want close to a 100. lowest ive seen was 60 posted by someone.


try pulling the battery for 30 minutes to a hour yet? never know.

I had this exact problem and it was a bad ground connection on my battery, check your grounds.

my buddy is saying it's the magnet In the key, I'll check everything out tomorrow morning and see what I can find, the grounds I know of is the one coming off the battery and grounding to the car the one on the starter and then the one to the transmission, what other grounds should I check?

Who is this buddy..and just don't assume he's right lol. Start by doing free **** and check the grounds.

the guy who helps build 3800 and helped me finish mine, I'm checking grounds soon but I'm still getting a key so I have a spare I miss place mine all the time so it's good to have a spare anyways

I haven't been able to really take it out I have to get my exhaust fixed and fix a few things here and there, and I'm also going to wait to get a in car tune before any beating on it. But the car got a oil and filter change, I'm going to change the fuel filter tomorrow hook up the the wiring for the gauges I have them in place just need to run power and ground. Also I'm going to try and detail the car a little and maybe wire in the 05seats. I would like to know what this center console might be I got this and all 4 lights for free along with stock rear suspension parts forgot what it was lol

Also got a ticket though it was going to be for the missing headlight or really loud exhaust, when I asked the cop if it was for that he said no for the plate being in the window lol
