• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Nah, I got it aligned when I got the tires 2 years ago.

I think I have over 25k miles on them. I really didn't rotate like I should have. The way the passenger side is worn I would guess that there may be play in my ball joint. I'm trying to see if I can find some used tires to get me through the winter then I will go over my suspension and replace everything that needs it in the spring and get 4 new tires.

Well, my GP just decided to pop the pass. side CV shaft as I was leaving the drive thru from lunch after just pulling onto the street. Rolled to the shoulder and spent 40 min. standing on the brake pedal with the motor off so I wouldn't roll backwards. And yes, of course the e-brake cable snapped a while back, so no use there. So $90 later I get it towed home and get to enjoy my reheated Jack n the Box.

To top it off, after the tow driver left I realized that he put the GP in front of the garage door that has my Vic in it so I have to shove the GP forward and wriggle the Vic out of the garage w/o hitting either the house or the GP, lol.... I'll have to use my Bonne to push the GP into the garage since my driveway slants downhill.

That sucks. I know I need front shocks/struts they klunk bad. Sway bar squeaks, and I think I need tie rod ends. It's funny when I bought my car guy had just changed RF wheel bearing and then I had to change it 10k later because it grinded and abs light came on because he masking taped the wires together lol.

If you need any help with any of that I know a guy that's pretty handy with a w body.

I swapped my thermostat out for a 195. It was only getting to 165-170 now it's getting to 190 so i'm happy and the heat is a lot better.

Replaced my coolant elbows AGAIN at work this time. Didn't bleed it real well, thought there would be enough in the system. After driving for 5 minutes the temp instantly shot up to 140 and low coolant light came on after the t-stat opened so I stopped and put some coolant in. Stayed at 160 the rest of the way home for some reason, I'm thinking because the coolant I put in the rad was cold. Also the torque converter wouldn't lock once it went to 160 for some reason.. idk maybe because of that.

Are you using the plastic ones?

Oddly I'm using a metal lower and a plastic upper. My boss had them laying around so I just used them. The previous ones were plastic. It wasn't the plastic's fault though, it was leaking where it goes into the upper intake, so the o-ring failed or something.

I don't see why anyone would really want a loud or anything louder than stock exhaust on the 3800. The engine sounds pretty cool once you put an open cone on it, or gut the airbox like I did. It's pretty loud outside. My exhaust is quieter than stock. It almost doesn't sound like a v6, it has the throaty-ness of a v8. What do you guys think since most of you just hear supercharger whine?
