• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

welcome to the world of owning an old car. unless you spend about 10k under the hood to fix everything then it will keep asking for money no matter what even on a v8's

was thinking of replacing everything under the hood my dad spent over 20k on a 1973 camaro so i just cut it in half and its not a real number just a guest

Much respect to Hippo! Don't just ask about a car wreck, read about the build as it progresses
but essentially yes

Reading that thread makes me glad my ABS is broken.

ha. i have no brakes at all......blew a line in the back of the car over the rear sub frame.

felt the pedal not holding at stops signs. then i parked it and stood on the brakes, yep, right to the floor, and hey, theres a puddle in the back. 2+2, still 4.

anyone know what size the back tubing is, ill be changing a chunk of line it seems.

I'm thinking about getting an older truck. I like 85 and older GMC/ Chevy C10s. Carbed and easy to work on. Have to wait until tax return and see what the wife lets me do.

Hey, I was just searching CL for 80s trucks today too. I wanted one to tinker with and beat on. Everything is way to rusty up here, and I hate trying to fix and deal with rusty parts. I have a lot of patients, but when it comes to rust for get it.

I spent some time detailing the inside of the wheels wells. Also coated the inner fender lips with a good coat of wax inside and out.

It's damn near clean enough to be a show car. lol

That is why I hate ABS for anything except dry pavement. He said he still couldn't stop after going through the leaves, the abs still kept screwing with it. "After the collision, my car kept a going, I bounced off the malibu, and the brakes were still not working, I go over someones curb and up on to their yard, where I finally come to a stop." I've had a similar experience, I hit a small patch of ice, pushed the brakes hard, and way after the ice spot I still couldn't stop til the ABS was done trying to kill me.

Heard a weird noise coming from the front of my car today thought it was a low tire turns out my wheel wasn't tight from when I rotated my tires 2 months ago. Lucky guy here. Also there is no strange vibration anymore lol
